Cooling Fan Cover ModificationI cut the grill out of the opening for the engine's cooling fan. No real purpose here, but I thought it looked cool from another photo I saw. In theory it would remove and airflow restriction and create more surface area for greater airflow. In reality I think it's simply a style mod. I used a utility knife and cut off the three pieces holding the grill in place. Heating the blade with a lighter makes quick work of the plastic. I used a dremel to shave off the nubs left from cutting and then sanded around the edge with a scotch brite pad. Now I'll just cross my fingers that I don't get a pebble in there banging around.
