Hello everyone I got a old decent bike for a trade of parts. I'd appreciate any help, criticism or advice. Things wrong that need replaced are:
1. Fairings (fabricating sheetmetal 30gauge with plasma cutter)
2. Cvt cover hole in it where kick start used to be (no clue why) its rough looking
3. Ignition (was Jerry rigged with a Alan turn rod lol)
4. Back tire (no tread)
5. Variator components ( rusty may not need to be replaced just a little elbow grease)
6. Rollers (I'm sure they've never been changed)
7. Brake lights ( don't like them plastic cover missing/broke)
8. Battery (dead)
9. Throttle cable (broke)
This is how it sits now

Things I've got on the list to do.
1. Remove oil injection
I've looked up how to do it. I'm sure I can follow directions.
Things I've bought for it already
1. Ruckus looking headlight/turn signal mount

The pic attached to the first post doesn't work for me. 2. Cvt cover hole in it where kick start used to be (no clue why) its rough looking Keep checking eBay and eventually you can get a deal on a CVT cover. Some scoots have them, but one popular thing to search for that has the better vented stock cover is a Polaris Sportsman, Predator, or Scrambler 90. Not all years are the 2T minarelli engine, but you can tell what's right when you see pics. The link below is a search where you can see some. Look enough or wait enough and you can usually find one for around $30-40 with all the kick start gear that attaches to the cover and the lever. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=polaris%2090%20clutch%20cover&_sop=15www.motorcyclesuperstore.com is where I usually buy tires. You can get cheap Chinese stuff from eBay and other spots too, but Michelin, Pirelli, etc... tend to be better balanced. 5. Variator components ( rusty may not need to be replaced just a little elbow grease) 6. Rollers (I'm sure they've never been changed) If I were going to replace the vari, I wouldn't bother with stock. You can get a Hoca from PFS for about $50 and it will outperform stock. It comes with 16x13 rollers, where stock uses 15x12. You'll probably need more rollers to tune it. I prefer Dr. Pulley sliders for their longevity and they perform well on most setups. They are more expensive than rollers though. 7. Brake lights ( don't like them plastic cover missing/broke) I've used LED tail/brake assemblies for ATVs and motorcycles and been pretty happy with them. Have them on all of my scoots actually. I cant find way to reduce the kb's im limited on quality. grr Anyways i went out to shed today to try to get it to run. SUCCESS yay it runs. But where in the hell is the Idle? when i start it it runs like its full throttle tire spinning and everything... "note" i do not have a throttle hooked to it. Could it be getting a vaccum leak?

Wait a minute just thought of something. The throttle cable broke off so its long but hanging out of the throttle cable thing on carb. so i can pull it and stuff. But how exactly do u mount the end of the throttle cable to the Black slide inside the carb i may have done it wrong.
