Does anyone know of any type of performance disc brake and caliper that will fit a retro type scooter with the 10inch rim on it. Currently has a 190mm disc on it. After doing all the performance upgrades to my 152qmi I need to make sure it can stop! I can post pics if you like.
Thanks

So in the photo you can see the scaring as the pad isn't contacting the disc the best it can. It is also slightly warped, but only very slightly. The problem is mainly trying to slow down when going down hills at high speed. The brakes rapidly fade until they are basically non-existent when this happens. A bigger front disc would be nice, and maybe a 4 pot caliper like what vert posted. If there was something that was better ventilated that would be good Attachments:

The disc has 3 holes for mounting and is 190mm outer diameter but I will check in the morning because its midnight here at the moment

Ok I will try that. Is there anyway to fit a larger caliper to it? Does anyone know of any bolt on 4 calipers? Or I will try what vert said and custom mount the stage 6 4 caliper. I think half the problem is that the disc is so small, and so it has little torque to slow the wheel down enough. Compared to the honda racing disc on the 50cc I have this thing is about 20mm smaller either side

How much is the brake line? Should I just get it off eBay? I work at Fonterra so theres plenty of guys in the fitters work shop who could help me out. I generally make stuff myself. If I could put a bigger disc on then that would help because the brake caliper has more torque to slow the wheel down but I had a look before and it looks as if the bolt holding the suspension will be in the way

I would also try bleeding the brake line. The back drums are not worth much, but the front should not be mushy at all. if you are pulling back on the brake handle and get no resistance, try bleeding the lines.
