I ride my bike as a main transportation long distances. I want to deck out my bike with quality parts that won't leave me stranded. I'm already getting new variator,clutch,clutchbell new exhaust .. would it be a good idea to get a Stroker crank? I just want the bike I'm building to hold up to the stress I'm going to be putting on it.

In all honesty, the reliability of your ride depends on what stresses you'll be putting on it. I've flipped the ideas for mine at least a dozen times. What do you really intend to do with it? Street only, mild race/street, all out race? There's a lot of factors involved that can help get you going in the right direction. I know this only because I asked roughly the same questions myself not long ago

Just on road nothing crazy mainly wanna cruise round 45 just don't wanna throw a crank bearing again....

Completely understand that one. 90GTVert, Brent, would know better than I would, but I'd say go with a 70cc BBK, I'm not sure on the stroker crank but you'd have to make sure the output splines are the same as what you have now in order for your variator and such to work with it. I'm not sure how the stroker crank would effect reliability, but with everything matched up and a good tune, I don't see where you would have any issues. I cruise all day long around 42mph now with just Dr. Pulley 5g sliders in my stock setup, at least until my mystery issue came along. I'm anxious to see what happens to my speed once I replace the carb, install a BBK, stroker crank, new reed valve, and I order my Peace Pipe and get it all tuned

Hell ya dude basically I'm redoing the whole donation bike I got its a ls49 everything's bad on it minus frame lol. I have to fix alot of the wiring harness shouldn't Be to bad. But as far as the variator clutch assemble all needs replaced the rollers n the clutch look like sliders (yea that bad) lol

the LS 49 eh? A Zip clone, they're great little bikes! I need to get into my photoshop program so I can chop up mine and actually see what it would look like. I've learned my way around this one well so let me know if you need help

I love the stroker motors, but it's not necessary. Crank bearing failure shouldn't be a problem until you've racked up some miles even with a sport big bore kit and pipe. Since you have to do the whole thing, the stroker probably wouldn't be much more expense vs a stock stroke crank and 70cc kit in internal parts. The problem would be the machine work to the cases, larger shrouds, and larger fan that should be added. Mostly the machine work. If you take it to a machine shop, expect to pay at least $100 and maybe more. You can do it yourself, but it's very time consuming, a pain, and probably isn't gonna turn out as nice as what a machine shop would do... that's unless you have access to the expensive tools that they have at their disposal. You can see in the Project 90 thread in the Tech Library that I clearanced a case myself for a crank, I've done the bore clearance on another as well... that might be in the T1 build thread, not sure off the top of my head. The P90 thread will also show you about what you can expect out of a 90cc and different upgrades.
