I have looked at the right up on removing the oil pump. But its missing in the directions what exactly your suppost to take out to deactivate it. Or I'm just dumb not sure which once my flywheel puller comes ill be working on this. Any help with this confusion would be very helpful to me thanks again guys. Your helping me out a ton with these two strokes that I love and know very little about.

I took out everything in that how-to, that deactivates it. lol If all you wanna do is make it stop working you can just remove the gear from the crank that drive the pump. Other option I've seen is to loop the oil line by attaching the output to the input. I just like getting it all out of there. It's not that much work and it's cleaner.

you can leave it out, not that much weight but what's the real point in leaving it in? My whole setup is out, and I'm taking a tip from one of the other members, converting my oil tank to a reserve fuel tank

each scoot varies, I'm not sure how much mine will hole, I'm actually sealing off where the oil level sensor went as we speak. I'll let you know what all I did once I get it all installed. You know how it goes, theory is a great idea, actuality can be whole other beast lol

I'm not too concerned with knowing how much is in reserve, the way I see it, once I have to flip to that tank, I'd better be finding a station soon lol. I scoot all over, that could be the death of me since I tend to go without thinking in most cases. One day I know I'll do the walk of shame, and knowing my luck it will be a long one.
So you're going premix and doing away with the oil pump setup too?

I took off the pump and removed the gear from the pump shaft and then reinstalled the pump to keep dirt and road grime out of there. There's stuff in there that I'd rather stay clean.
