Here's the latest, started doing paint and body work. Waiting on parts to come in to get started on the performance mods, but still having fun none the less. Going with a satin black paint scheme with a few subtle touches to make it stand out, such as the yellow screens in the glovebox vents. Talking to a guy that does hydrographics about having some body pieces and the gauge cluster covered in yellow carbon fiber graphics. Not sure what I'm doing yet with the wheels, maybe black with yellow accents, or all yellow, either way the polished lip will stay. Thanks Brent for the tip on blacking out the turn signals! I modded mine on the rear to be in with the tail light and used LED bulbs to get them bright enough to see, but the front definitely needed to be smoked. Two more panels to get sprayed and then it's on to lowering and stretching!

Finishing up the paint work tomorrow, more pics to come. Thinking about flipping my forks and lowering the front already, even though it may be a couple of weeks before it gets stretched. I'm also going to put on the Mikuni carb courtesy of 2Strokd. A lot of pictures will be posted tomorrow, now Venny won't be so camera shy, at least it looks worthy of pictures now as all the plastics were a mess before. After talking to 2Strokd earlier, I think this small body would be a blast built to the max as a nice stroker motor. I'm coming to a loss when searching for a fat rear wheel and tire combo though, if anything can even be done. It's my intentions to build the baddest 2T in the RVA area

I don't think you're gonna find a fat rear tire. I've seen people take an old wheel and cut the center of it out to use as the hub with wheel studs installed in it. If you do get a fatty on there no decent pipe will work, cause none are designed to clear a huge wheel/tire and it's gonna make cornering weird with the typical flat golf cart tires people seem to be using. If you really wanna be the baddest, leave the fat tire off to keep better handling and less weight.

Right now it's got the 100/60-12 tires on it with the "fancy" 5 spoke wheels. I'd love to at least bump up the rear tire in diameter and possibly width. The fatty rear wheel is just something I'd like to cruise with from time to time I guess. Posting up new pics in a few minutes!

Thanks! I've put in a few hours of work, and had quite a few hours of the better half complaining about the time I do put in it! lol
Hopefully weather permitting, I'll be doing a little more to it tomorrow if work doesn't call me in. Ah the wait for more parts to arrive, still under $500 total for this build including the price of Venny!

Project Venny has been retired. I had an offer too good to refuse on an ad I posted. Off to the races to find another project scoot, but at least I've still got some goodies I never got to put on lol NEXT!
