PFS has 3-11g in 15x12 for the stock vari. 8g is quite heavy unless maybe you've got a stiff contra spring or make a lot of power.

If you go too heavy you won't get top speed or takeoff speed. The engine will just bog. It's all about making the CVT work in the engine's peak power.

I myself found a good spot with 5g sliders, others are a mix of 5 and 6, while some are happy with 6. right now I cruise at 40-42 while maintaining speed on most hills, maybe a drop of 1 or 2 mph on the steepest on the north side of RVA. I've seen Venny top out around 45 on a flat when I was able to let it wind out completely and I was tucked. this is with just the sliders installed, mostly stock other than airbox mods and the variator filed.
Acceleration is a better, though my takeoff is just a tad bit higher than it was before, where 2000-2250RPM would get me rolling before with rollers, it kicks in around 2.7k-3kRPM now, I love the little extra engine speed for takeoff :riding:

I would weigh what's in there now and make my choice based on that. If it's revving too low, go lighter. If it's revving to high, go heavier. Mine all came with either 4 or 5g 15x12mm rollers stock. So if it came with 4g and you need to drop the revs, get 5g. If you take a big jump to 7 or 8g from running decent at 4, it's gonna be a dog.

Off the line it takes off quick as hell. I blew the back tire out yesterday I disassembled the motor I tried to split the cases to get to the crank but it wont seperate. The oil seals are really in there... there hard as a rock is there a trick to getting this puppy split all the way?
