(he is walking now sort of.) what should i do to fix it it only runs around 25 mph now. changing the oil is a must but idk what else i should do if anything. it has a uni filter on it but other then that its stock. (with a bunch of plastic missing now.)

check the motor and trans over starting right at the heart: Compression on the motor. This is how I would start if it were mine anyway.

yeah the trans is fine just checked it before i started it starts fine. i dont have a compression tester. what i can say is she runs ok (slow take off) till 25 then she will not go faster. im going to check the fuel system it may be clogged.

Anything you do before verifying compression might be wasted effort.

well after checking everything out on it that i could and changing the oil it is running better now. i think it was just having problems from sitting so long. it was however getting started regularly just could not be drove because of the bad fork. she is now running around where she should. most of it was in my head i think because i was driving a 150cc before this lmao.

old gas maybe? even if it was being cranked daily....the gas in the tank would go stale. Im glad its better I always keep a 5 gallon jerry can full of pure 93 octane with sta-bil on hand.

that's what I'm thinking i drained the carb screw thingy as well lol. (yes it has a name but idk what it is.) i do not think i ever got the jet dialed in either when i did the filter on it. but that's what ever. ill work on it when i have time and care enough to worry more. it runs and i only need it for a few months then i will sell it and let it be someone else's problem. i may give it to my room mate when he gets his license back. (just got his first DWI. and hopefully his only.)
