I have a peace sports dash 50 (VIP copy) and I installed a 80cc bore kit and it sounds like valves out of adjustment. I checked and recheckhed but they are set at .003. The ticking is loud. Can anyone help?

Just to be on the safe side, here are a couple of valve setting how-tos that show the procedure. If not done as shown, try again. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0K-ytyjOFg49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=4ttech&action=display&thread=428If you have done it correct, might wanna make sure your valves aren't hitting the piston. Before I started checking piston to valve clearance, I had one make a ticking noise and adjustments never got rid of it. It bent a valve and then I knew for sure what I had heard. Also myself and I know at least one other here (Goosey) have had loud valves when using performance camshafts. Tightening up the valves a little more may do the trick if you have a performance cam... .002".
