Recently my Tao Tao 50 scooter started having some issues. First the battery began draining very fast and although the push start would attempt to work I had to kick start it every time. Then the Push start stopped all together. Then the the turn signals stopped working. Then the head light went out, then the Hi-beam and horn. now the only working electronics are the "running" lights and brake light. All the while the engine seems to be running less effectively and more labored. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

first question, have to taken proper care i.e. 300 mile oil change and 500 mile oil change?
i would say assuming its been take care of, do a comprehsion test, if that checks out then go through your wiring and look for shorts, broken wires, rusted or corroded ends.

i too would check all the wiring close but sounds to me like a bad stator or rectifier or both....and the battery is probably toast now too. if it were me i would replace the entire electrical system (stator, rectifier/regulator and battery) and check each and every connector, put dielectric grease in them and make sure each and every ground is tight.
