Hello all,
I'd very much appreciate some quick help with this enormous mystery surrounding my year old scooter. It's a Lintex, chinese brand, model HT500T-26 if anyone knows it. It looks pretty standard for a 49cc 4 stroke all around.
Anyways, about 6 months ago, I started experiencing engine trouble. It would start and roar up as usual, then ride well for about a minute, then die out. Then I'd restart it, and it'd be good as normal. This didn't let up, so I changed the oil before it was due, and still the same problem. It then turned into 2-3 more times that it would die and I'd have to restart, and months later it's now up past 10 before it'll run normally.
I've replaced the spark plug (Properly gapped), replaced the carburetor, replaced the air filter, and my next step is to replace the battery, though I don't even know if that will help. I've also given the engine area a general cleaning, and have replaced the oil properly since the issues first started. The bike only has 1.2k miles on it.
Could someone give me a possible diagnosis, something more to try for this? Lintex's support is nonexistent, and I'm willing to put more money into this, just not an enormous amount. Thanks everyone.
