This 150 was not getting any fire so i changed the coil. Wouldn't run right so i checked the compression and it was below 60. Done a top end kit and it ran fine for about 4 days. Then when we tried to start it, it would not start. Wouldn't even turn over. It would just "click" then i smelled smoke.
Found the Green wire to the stator burnt to a crisp!. Ordered a new stator, got it installed tonight while also replacing the green wire all the way back to the ground. Found it was broke at the ground where it goes to the frame and burnt all the way down. Sanded it so it would get a good ground, and still it would just "click" so i turned it back off really fast and the green wire to the stator was hot. It wouldn't even try to turn over. I checked the main fuse and it was blown. Replaced the fuse and still nothing. Lights wont even come on, tried jumping the solenoid while trying to start it and nothing. But the green wire to the stator gets really hot.
Im out of ideas... Anyone ever had this problem?

i would try a different battery anyway But would that cause the green wire on the stator to get really hot?
