Sunday I removed and bypassed the oil pump on my Benelli M50 with the QJ1E40QMB engine. It has a Leader PZ19JB Carb. Removed the Fuel and mixed it 40:1. Now it won't start. I'm getting a spark on the plug and the plug is wet. Also I removed the fuel line at the carb and the vacuum tube at the carb and sucked air through it to get the mixture to the carb. It will run for about 5 sec's just a putt, putt, putt and dies. Any Ideas??

you might be lean, try adjusting your a/f mixture screw, also if it has a stock jet some times there lean to begin with and when you mix the gas and oil together, the oil displaces the gas so you need a bigger main jet to compensate.

It seems to be very rich. When I pull the plug its wet. Also when it does start and run at about 200 RPM's I put my hand over the carb intake to simulate a choke effect. It just dies..

I hate to say it, but I would tend to say that during your looping of the oil pump you also did something else. How did you loop the system? What exact steps did you do?
