Hey,
I have oil dripping out of my air box. I know that I saw a thread on either this forum or another about this issue, but I can't find it. What causes this and how do I fix it?
I have a pre-bug 2 stroke Yamaha Zuma-monstah. :riding:
Any suggestions would be great!

Does your scooter have an injector or do you pre-mix?

I'm not a 2 stroke expert but from what I have learned I think you just need to clean the air filter every month because 2 strokes will actually shoot a fine mist of gas/oil mix out the back of the carb as they run due to the way the operate and that stuff goes into the air filter tube and over time the gas evaporates but the oil remains. You may wanna replace the reeds as they are there to alleviate the amount of blow-back.

The oil injection valve (on the carburetor) is not supposed to let oil leak through. You can try cleaning it, but likely it is worn out, so it's either a new one, or start pre-mixing.
If you let the bike sit all winter it will fill the crankcase with oil, and if you have installed a side stand you will get oil leaking all down the belt cover.

Wouldn't it smoke real bad if the oil line was seeping?

Wouldn't it smoke real bad if the oil line was seeping? They will if parked on a slight (front) downwards incline, if parked on an upwards incline they leak out of the air box, though oil will go into the crankcase, just not very much, so overnight it isn't really noticable (the oil burning).
