i was thinking of adding something like these to my headlamp and brakelight assys. i would tie them to my horns (already upgraded to air horns) so as soon as i hit the horn FLASH FLASH FLASH at the highest rate the unit could do.

so when you sound the horn and they start looking for the truck about to hit them (air horns make ppl jump) and then the stobes will make localisation easy. and you dont have to worry about them not hearing you either.

Estes model rocket engines in a tube work fine for that too. Careful u don't hit the wrong button in the garage though!

That's a really cool idea, not sure about the legality of it, but I guess as long as you don't have to honk at a cop you'll prob be fine. Would be especially effective at night. Not sure if those are bright enough to draw a lot of attention in the day?

PRetty sure that yellow would have no legal issues as work vehicles use yellow strobes for warning. white would prolly not be an issue in the headlamp, but red in the tail lamp is illegal (along with blue, thats for firemen here) but amber would be fin in a turn signal assy. or even all turn signals be like super 4 way flashers. there we go thats how to do it. light it like a garbage truck! in the turn lamps you could see them 360degrees instead of focused forward in the headlamp.

i'll take photos of the work and keep everyone posted.
