Hi everybody... I hate to post another question regarding air/fuel mixture, but this is got me really confused! :swear:
My Genuine Roughhouse 50 2T is basically stock minus a little cvt work and has been giving me trouble recently running lean. It kinda just began out of nowhere without me doing anything to it. I've gone through our forum here as well as Modern Buddy's forum and found no new ideas, so here I am... I still use the stock oil pump and thought it had to be the problem, either not working at all, weak, plugged line, something, but no. It seems to be pumping oil fine and the intake inlet also seems clear. It stopped putting out any smoke at start-up and idle which I thought was odd and when I rode it to check the plug afterwards I could hear the "hollow" kind of exhaust sound...
Plug definitely shows it's running leaner. I keep my old plugs for comparison/tuning and it's a lot lighter, and the ground electrode looks like it's gotten way too hot. I've attempted to adjust the idle mix on the carb, sprayed for vacuum leaks, checked out the carb, the enricher is plugged in, and all looks normal to me.
Should I just cut out the oil pump and try a pre-mix? At least that way I have eliminated 1 possibility. I just don't know what else to do! Any ideas? What else can I check out or test? I'm going to remove the carb again and clean/inspect it, but that's just to feel like I'm doing something to try and fix it! Hopefully somebody has experienced this before or knows what to do... Oh, if you need to know, it's a hor. minarelli, 50cc 2T, stock Keihin carb, stock exhaust (de-restricted), and specifically a 1PE40QMB clone. Thank you everyone in advance!
