Looks like your making progress. 1g is a lot to go lighter, you should be in the ballpark by mixing them. Then when you fit the BBK you will have to start all over again lol

Im not worried about that, before i bought the scooter, i had no idea on how a carb worked so by the time the BBk is in, i'll have some idea on how to fine tune it.

Some issues today with the little beast. Yesterday i finally fixed my snorkle problem. The thing was about 1/2 inch too long and was pushing the carb sideway. I think its the reason i was always running lean. Problem was fixed by cuting a little part of the end going into the carb and using one of those : Now i got no more false result from my plugs while trying to tune the carb. So this morning i fiddle some more with the carb im now up with a 94 jet; a bit big for the moment, but i'd rather run rich and go lean then the other way around. So i run it for a few miles and plug looks good. Its sunny and in the 80 degrees so i go for a nice long ride on some small roads with nice long strech. The kind were you wished stop signs did not exist. :riding: Bike runs great, even on my way back, with some head winds i still can hold 55 kph easy. So i get home to wash up a bit and go get my little one at school. Bike wont start!!! :panic: :jaw: I tear up the seat to see if someting came loose. Nope I check for spark. no :zap2: Ok so i call my dad and we got get a new coil. Put it in. No start. So i take a few :chill: pill and try to figure it out. I got spark, plug is new so what's next? GASOLINE!!!!! I unplug the hose coming out of the pump and try to fire it up again. Nothing comes out of the pump. 2nd trip to the dealer to get a pump and a filter. BINGO!!!! Now its running good again, but way to rich. I think that on top of my snorkle issue, the faulty gas pump was also playing tricks on me and the carb. So im back to try and tune my carb. :spin: Anyone selling some good gremlin repellant?

New puel pump died today after about 75 km :stars:
Was doing dome errants for my wife and when i got out of the store, the damn gremlins had been at it again.
After making sure it was the pump, a small light bulb turned on over my head.
No pump= no fuel to the carb.... but i happen to be at a drugstore. Went back in and asked for one of those big seringue used to give syrup medicine to kids. I used it to suck up fuel from my tank and send it in my carb till the bowl was full.
Manage to get back home.
I guess i could say i got a fuel injected scooter now. :lol2:
Bike is going to the dealer tomorrow, its still under waranty.
If it fails again, i ll go with an electric pump.

Bike just got back from the shop with the carb all messed up. Dont know what they did to it but it was way too rich.
Iddle screw was out about 4 turn and the needle was on the richess setting.
Was the last time my bike ever goes to that shop.
:swear: :censored:
On a brighter note i ll be making a 300 km round trip next week. I'll post pictures and map later on in another topic.

Back with more project on this little bike. Motor died this spring, could not even enjoy it for a few rides. This time, instead of spitting more cash on the motor for repairs, i decided to change it for a 150cc full stock engine with a fitting carb www.mbe-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/20/products_id/372Bike is now trip and almost ready for making the motor mount. Next pictures will be less blurry.

I've been a bit busy on it today. made the motor mounting brakets and fitted the motor in. First problem i encountered was with the tire, too fat for the case.
So i had to make a small spacer to move it away from the casing.
I had to be carefull not to make the spacer too thick, otherwise the brake shoes would loose breaking surface. This is my mock up setup to fine fit the little beast in.
First, i had the frame leveled horizontally, then proceeded to get the engine/tire leveled vertically. For the next part i ll try to be as clear as i can be. (English is not my native language). To be sure that both wheels were aligned, i took a piece of string and pulled it from tire to tire ( making sure i was barely touching both side of each tire with the string) to make sure they were both aligned. Next, was making that motor support. I had an old metal bed frame lying around. So i used it to build my support.
(Did promessed a non-blurry pixture) That's about as far as i got today. Still, i fiddled around with them hoses and wires to see if anymore problems would come up. So far, only have 1 question: What is that hose coming out of the side of my carb? (solved) All other hoses/outlet i can figure out but not this one. I'll be working some more on it tomorrow, some more stories and pictures to come.

Fiddled around it some more today. Finished the motor bracket, did the final mounting of the engine, pluged in the sparking stuff and the vacuum/booze hoses.
Its finally alive!!!!
Tomorrow i'll be finalizing the hoses/sparky parts (tying it all neetly with zip ties) and putting the body parts back on it.
I'll update with pics of the finalyzed motor mount. I'll also try to write down all the little troubles i encountered just in case it might help someone someday.

Good stuff. It's mounted and runs so the worst should be over.
