Only about 2 months after I got the scooter, and I got it a year ago, my front and tail lights went out. I replaced the front bulb with a new one, and I'm sure it's the right one, and it still would not turn on. So I'm thinking it's a fuse. I checked the one closest to the battery, and it's not blown. The only other one I know of there being is in the box. But I have no idea as to where the box may be, and what to do when I get there. Any thoughts? Thanks for reading.

Pull the bulb...check the socket...they are notorious for the wires shorting against the socket.....and the contacts not touching bottom of the bulb.....sometimes you have to rotate the contacts to fix the short...or to get it to contact the base of the bulb. You only have one fuse by the battery..if it blows the scoot won't even start.

It could possibly be a bad voltage regulator blowing the bulbs out. You should be able to test that by running the scoot and measuring the voltage in the headlight socket or at the connector before going to the headlight socket.
Wow, blown fuse and scooter won't even run? That is good information. I never tried doing that, and I have not seen a blown fuse. I have seen broken fuses, but not blown. What happens with a blown fuse, no spark?

no nothin, the scooter wont even crank. I don't mean to jack the OPs topic here, but there hasn't been any new posts, so hopefully the lights problem is solved. But just to make sure the original post stated there is another fuse. I have been all through these scoots and the only fuse I know of is in the battery box. There is only one on the whole scoot. About the scoot not even cranking... That makes logical sense because there's probably no power getting to the starter switch and the starter relay. Would a bike with a blown fuse be able to be kick started?

All of mine can run with no battery at all and the fuse is generally placed inline with battery power. A blown fuse would prevent any electrical from working without the engine running. It would not prevent spark from happening in an AC setup when you kickstart it. DC might be a problem.

Hi check if your scoot has a zena diode on the wiring it is a small component with two pins on it. If it has become loose or has failed your lights will not work or depending how it's connected only some things will function as they should, ask me I know I learned the hard way that stupid little component nearly drove me crazy!!
