Just got an email that scooterpartsco.com shipped the front pulley fixed half out today... ordered the 18th and it never said anything about being out of stock when ordered or in invoices. Luckily I was in no hurry. I've prob found another place I'll save for only parts I can't find elsewhere.

Malossi 617151 for the larger cranks. G-Force has it too, but I skipped ordering there because they wanted $13 for shipping.

I pressed out the secondary gear that still seems to be good from. The primary gear is hanging with the jacked up primary drive shaft because it's not in condition for use anymore. It doesn't look bad in the pic, but there's parts of the other gear in some teeth and it feels very rough now. Stuck the secondaries in there for the moment. Really just needed the axle, but the other gear also has supports on each side so it'll be OK. Just needed a way put the wheel back on so I could move it out of the way easily since it'll take a bit for the gears to show up. Said 4-10 days for scootertuning to get them, then however long it takes from Canada to me. The Malossi fixed half showed up today from ScooterPartsCo. A bit slow but at least if not in a hurry it was cheaper with shipping than other places I saw it.

Got this from scootertuning.ca today : "I have bad news, we were placing the gears in order for you at our suppliers for the past two weeks, and still haven't received them. So I called this morning the supplier to know what's going on, and they said the gears are back order so they won't be available for a good while until they have another production run. I'm very sorry for this, and truly wish they would have advised me before. I will initiate a refund for this order. Best Regards," I may just take the gears out of either the 103 in T1 or the 70cc that I keep as a spare runner. Could put the 70cc in T1 so it would actually move and not be sitting on the frame or jackstands if I steal it's gears... but really I need to be working with the TaoTao more so I dunno if I wanna distract myself with potentially 2 running 2Ts. It's hard to leave them in the garage vs a 30MPH 4T.

Unless your grass is getting tall I don't see a use for a 4 stroke. Lol.

Man that blows, what gear ratio you aiming for Brent? Thought I'd try about 11:1, but looks like I'll just go back to 10:1. Mainly I was hoping to keep a few sets of gears intact rather that swapping them from engine to engine. Bright side is this saves me some money. I took the 103cc out of T1 and stuck the 70cc spare engine in there so at least it rolls around. It's prob wishful thinking that I'll actually get T1 running. The speedo doesn't work anymore, the ignition system has issues, I'm not sure if the cable I have with the 25mm carb will work with the smaller ones, all of the LEDs are dim because I never really intended it to be something that got lots of miles when it had the 103 in it, and prob many more problems. Plus I found out the car show I was hoping to ride to on T2 is a week earlier than I thought, June 13-14 not 20-21. I harvested the full set of 10.13:1 gears out of T1's engine. When I took the wheel off a 1/2 to 3/8" adapter broke off. This was the start of my fun. I stuck the secondaries from T2 in there and went to put the engine on a shelf above T1 and the Venus. In this process I knocked T1 over. I took a bit of paint off, but luckily the paint is not good anyway. Didn't seem to hurt anything else. I started out removing bearings from T2's gearbox. I used a newer puller kit I got earlier this year or late last year. I've barely used it. I expanded the adapter and when I used the slide hammer to try and pull the bearing one of the 3 legs broke off. Got the bearings out and new ones in as well as new seals. I used Loctite 603 on the primary driveshaft instead of any shimming. When I went to tap a seal in I somehow managed to pinch the meaty part of my palm between the hammer and pipe, continuing my fun. Before I even torqued the gearbox bolts I put the gear oil next to the engine so I can't forget. I didn't wanna put it in just yet so the Loctite could setup.

I've gone from a running machine down to exhaust leak, then exhaust hole stripping, and now for no reason the ignition system has decided to crap out. Lots of other unfortunate things happening on the forum too. I feel so unlucky being on here lol. worth it though hang in there brent!

None of my stuff was all that bad. Just one of those days.

Very light compared to stock, but mostly there because I like the look. Reminds me a drag racer, wider tire in the back and skinny up front.

Sorry for the bad luck day. I hate losing/breaking a tool. Too much pressure on the expansion bolt do that?
You put a spoke wheel on the front of your Venus too IIRC.

I guess Dave. The adapter was expanded a good bit. Next size up was too large to fit though.
The spoked wheel is the same one that was on the Venus. The Venus has the stock front end on it again. Was/am considering selling it at some point but part of me still wants to hang onto it because it was a lot of fun with a 90cc.
