I agree Scott, and I don't think it's ideal. If the head needs to be replaced and the piston, then it's the whole cylinder kit. I figured I'd see how it goes.

Unfortunately, I'm totally wrong about everything. The erosion on the top of the piston is not from coolant. It is from detonation. I will say that it looks odd to me for coolant to erode the edges evenly when it looks like 2 potential failure points starting it, but I believe it was Eric Gorr that wrote about it pretty much exactly as what I found when a coolant leak occurs in a running engine. Erosion around the edges of the crown and cylinder and head, piston ring sticking, and rust present. I may be wrong about who it was, but someone way smarter than me with a lot of experience wrote about exactly what I saw as a coolant leak.
The rust is because I use the wrong oil, not because of coolant. If it were coolant the bottom end would have been rusty (like it was). I'm also not using enough oil (32:1). Also Stage6 wouldn't do this, TPR sucks. I also don't torque cylinder nuts in a cross pattern (even though I do).
Don't get me wrong, there are positive comments too and I appreciate when I get good advice. Recent example is the rubber sealed bearing in the CVT cover. I tried it based on a comment and it worked very well. Sometimes I just read the comments and wonder why people would even subscribe to me if they think I'm that far off with everything I do, but I think many do actually mean well and want to help.

I call them "Armchair Advisors",always something to say with little hands on,just internet trolling... Two other options could be get a Corsa kit or a std 139QMB and drill out the muffler baffles,,both will get you 80mph easy!!

It's rider error. If you didn't ride round at quarter throttle. Riding like my grandma. The T max would be fast enough.

I'm still getting comments about not torquing in a crisscross pattern. Let's say the cylinder studs are like this : What you see in the video is that I first gently snug them up 2,3,1,4,2. Then the shot switches to using a torque wrench and you see 3,4,1,2,3. That picked up after I started on 2, but I guess moving from 3 to 4 is totally unacceptable. I get it. I should use the same exact pattern each time, and I didn't. Totally an accident. Film everything you do and see if you ever make a mistake. I still don't believe that if it fails it is because I moved 50mm in one direction during a torque sequence vs 50mm in the other, but I can guarantee that when anything else happens to this kit it will be because I made that one error.

Its the old saying"packing 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bag"is what we have here, not torque patterns!Design was for a 40mm bore(OK),then it goes to 47mm(getting iffy),anything over that is out of the limits of this engine and gets weaker as the sizing goes up from there..The Stage6 RT is a big step up with its adapter plate allowing wider studs and a 6 bolt head attachment..Still have no room for a bigger diameter crankshaft though which is badly needed for longer strokes, reed sizing and placement also..So as Scott said we have a limit to the strength and capacity of these scooter engines..

I agree. I'm not as worked up as it probably seems like sometimes when I post that stuff. I'm more in awe of how much stuff I do totally wrong. Y'all know I will admit mistakes and I show stuff that I screw up that I could just edit out, but... real short off the top of my head highlights from comments :
- I have no idea how to torque a cylinder. - I bought a junk kit that won't last 1,000 miles. - I used the wrong pipe. Then I used the wrong pipe again. - I used a lame stock clutch. - I don't need an OR kit. - My carb is too small and the slide is too round. - My airbox sucks. - My intake faces the wrong direction. - My carb is out of tune. - My sliders, contra and clutch springs are all wrong. - I'm using the wrong belt. - I'm using the wrong 2T oil. - I'm not using enough 2T oil. - I'm using the wrong spark plug. - My ignition timing is either too far advanced or retarded, but definitely nowhere near correct. - I don't use high enough fuel octane. - My squish is too loose or too tight. - My compression is too high or too low. - I use all of the wrong sealants and lubricants. - My dog can be trained in 15 minutes to never attack air tools again. - The whole setup is 10-40MPH slower than everyone else with a similar setup.
It's some sort of miracle that the thing works at all.

It is funny some of the comments. I personally like the way you meticulously test stuff. Trying to remove as many variables as possible. Your testing of parts goes way beyond what any normal person would ever do. It's like some people are watching a different video.

The unofficial H2Oi car show is coming near the end of the month. They are determined to not have the wild event of 2019 again. I was planning on taking T2 down, but I'm not sure. Kinda worried about crowds because I don't know if they have sense enough to not form huge crowds, but also all of this that has been rumored and is now official. Not sure if it's worth it. "In my 13 years it's probably without question the largest deployment of troopers to the town that we have had," Starner said. Police warn that driving throughout Ocean City between Sept. 22-26 will be difficult because officials plan to change traffic patterns throughout the town. "We emphasize that the week of Sept. 22 and all the way through the weekend of Sept. 26, there are going to be major disruptions to traffic," Buzzuro said. "It's not going to be comfortable traveling through Ocean City, especially during that weekend." The town will add speed bumps throughout Ocean City as another measure to keep control, Buzzuro said. The chief didn't provide details of where those speed bumps would be deployed, simply saying they will be "strategically placed." Prior legislation on special event zones only dealt with excessive speeding, but under the new law, people will be prohibited from exhibition driving while in a special event zone, according to the law. The law considers exhibition driving to be: Excessive or abrupt acceleration or deceleration. Skidding, squealing, burning or smoking tires.Swerving or swaying a vehicle. Producing an unreasonably loud engine noise.Grinding gears. Wheels losing contact with the ground.Transporting a passenger on the hood or roof. Under the new law, a person can be arrested and sentenced to up to 60 days in jail and/or $1,000 fine, according to the law. That's killed H2O then. Will probably be handing out tickets to prove a point too.

Kinda worried about crowds because I don't know if they have sense enough to not form huge crowds................ I can assure you they do not have enough sense, at least around here they have not. All summer the visitors here act like Coronavirus is not here. Most wear no mask and then blame it on the city when the end up sick. There were a LOT of sport bikes here this weekend. Law Enforcement presence was heavy. using barricades to break the Blvd into several small sections they have made it difficult to cruise the Blvd. From the sounds I can hear at night from my front porch, I think many people moved off the Blvd and have their fun elsewhere in the city. The yearly events here tend to be more of a huge social gathering, rather than the show of horsepower gatherings you have in OC. We still have some of that here, but it just seems like its more about congregating. You should still plan on going, you can always bail if it sucks too badly.

Would love to take Kym down but looks like if I want to keep myself outta jail(which I do) I should stay in Delaware. That producing loud engine noises kinda rules out taking a piped 2T. Unless one has the desire to attract 12.
