For argument purposes I can send you a copy of my receipt. Maybe help you get a better price from them. I appreciate the offer, but I don't think that would do much. They quoted me lower prices last time and billed $237 then this time quoted $45/wheel with 2 week turnaround. Prob cause the owner didn't know steel from aluminum either when I dropped them off, if I had to guess.

I was trying to see if I could gather any times from the races with Ryan for either of us on his scoot with the RC-ONE or for him on my scoot to see how much different it is. Unfortunately, neither of us paid much attention to the speedometers so I couldn't see them much to gather info. Did get a little.
With Ryan on T2, all I got is that 1 run was about 3.5 0-30. I'm sure there's a lot more in that with a lighter rider with my best single run being 3.0. He kept letting out early, but it looks like under 7 seconds to 50MPH. My best single run is 7.1. Knock off 0.5 for a good launch that equals mine and I think it's fairly safe to assume a 180lb rider could do 0-50 in 6.5 or less on T2. I think it could do better than that really.
With Ryan on his Zuma, he was going 4.7-4.9 0-40MPH, which is right around my times on T2 normally. 0-50s were 6.0-6.6. He ran it out to over 70MPH once, so 0-60 was about 8.5 and 0-70 was about 12.4.
With me on the Zuma, I managed to match his 0-40s. The best I saw for 0-50 was about 6.8 and the worst was 7.5.
So what does this tell us? I think with good runs on an RC-ONE, I can be just slightly quicker than someone Ryan's weight on my TPR setup. I think Ryan has a lot left in his times when he figures out the launch. It's obvious watching his on/off starts trying to control the front and also because I can match his times to 40. If I had to guess, I'd say he could probably do 0-60 in 6-7 seconds on a good run. That's gonna take practice though. I'm excited to get my own in there at some point and see if I can learn to deal with it off the line.

Just called the powder coater. Asked if there was any update on the scooter wheels. He said "No, but they'll be done first of the week. Okay?". OK, thanks. 10 second call. Very nonchalant for what will be a 6 week job at that point. Oddly enough, the last time that I had wheels there, I called to check 3 weeks in and they were done 3 days later.

I guess I'm going to have to call the powder coater and bug him. Been trying to avoid the phone call where he acts like nothing's wrong and he'll just let me know when they're done... but today is 51 days since the first wheels were dropped off and 37 days since the second set. When Ryan was here, his coater called and his wheels were done within a week. I was curious if anyone else has this trouble so I googled a bit. Many sites say average turnaround is 5-7 days. I think part of me doesn't want to call because I don't even want to know what dumb shit they may have done to my wheels now. That said, they've been handed $560 worth of wheels and I've got nothing back yet. Trying to decide what to do if they aren't done. I'd go get them and take them elsewhere, but I'd rather not have an argument since they've got my money and it seems too easy to decide to charge or overcharge for the powder (I'm sure it's special order) and then keep it anyway or if they've already blasted them they could charge for that. I just don't think I can trust anyone that treats a customer this way. If only it were the old days. Right about now would be a wonderful time to slap someone with a dueling glove and demand satisfaction. lol Oh, my wheels aren't done? (DISCLAIMER : NO ONE WILL BE SLAPPED AND I'M DAMN SURE I WON'T BE SATISFIED WHEN THIS IS ALL OVER.)They sure are rare if you have spend 560$ on them, here you can get 2 pairs for 30€

They sure are rare if you have spend 560$ on them, here you can get 2 pairs for 30€ $280/pair is what I paid. Shipping is probably a lot of it. Just "cheap" parcel shipping with USPS to me from x7rocks was marked on the shipping label as over $70 and they had to get to the US at some point. I'm sure I could get a better deal with help from overseas to ship directly to me, but I was trying not to ask for favors if I didn't have to and really didn't think I'd have to do it twice. On my own, looking at ebay UK, I couldn't really do better at the time because of international shipping costs. Each wheel was coming out around $120-150 and I couldn't find someone selling a pair with combined shipping. Plus, US shipping is so awful that I wasn't confident about unknown sellers from out of country on there. Seems ridiculous, but I don't think there are many options for rear disk with an adapter for the RC-ONE/Yamaha and I didn't want just one Aerox wheel on the back.

Shipping is the killer. The wheels are not that expensive here. But it's the same when buying motorcycle tires. The cost is up to about 20% of the tire value.I
It seems to me the painters don't do anything till someone starts enquiring about their stuff. 🤦

I decided to contact Lectron and see where they want to go. I'm kinda on the fence still, but would really like to see the carb work. It's a long email, probably with TMI, but after saying they were "slammed" I wanted to make it abundantly clear what the experience was like for me and that I never go into this stuff with the intention of being negative to anything. I told them if they want to help, I'll order 2-3 more rods unless they think 1 at a time gives a better chance at success. It would be good for everyone if it worked and I'll gladly give out any details about my setup so maybe it's useful info for any future situation. The other option is, if they never want me to touch a Lectron again, I'll get rid of it and they won't have to worry about any more Lectron tuning vids from me. I'm not asking them for anything other than tuning help if they choose to. It won't hurt my feelings if I never get a reply or they say please never touch one of our carbs again, but I'd also like to see it work.

"We'll talk on the phone Tuesday. In the meantime, I need to know everything about your setup. Pictures of vent line routing, everything. Usually when things can get tuned in easily, it’s because of something self inflicted."
That's the response to my long email to Lectron. They asked for detail so I sent a long email that took me an hour or so to put together. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I always am. lol

Regarding the powder coater, I’ve given my guy 2 sets of shock lowers, 2 CVT covers, and a set of 13” Aerox wheels over the past 3 months and I’ve spent a total of $190 with him. I’ve waited a total of probably 3 weeks if you added all of the time spent waiting together.
My guy runs a successful lawn care company, successful Custom Ruckus building company that supplies all the tricked out rucks to Detroit, and still finds time to do my stuff on the side in a week or less in his garage and consistently. Your place is supposed to only do powder coating. They should be able to find time for your job in their schedule.
Even if my scenario is at the “really good deal” side of the spectrum, you should be able to find someone who treats you better than how you’re being treated there.
Sorry, that place really pisses me off.

At this point, regardless of what the powder coater does with price, I'm done. I don't get much powder coated anyway, but if I do anything else, it won't be there. My initial thought was since they did whole truck bodies, nearly 40ft long staircases, big I-beams and so on with their gigantic ovens; they just didn't care about small jobs. Then I looked at their facebook page and saw stuff not 1/2 the size of my wheels being posted on there. People with car wheels with 2 day turnarounds. So then all I can wonder is, WTF is the problem with me and my stuff? They don't want to answer questions or offer any assurance that they can make things look good, they don't really seem to care about inconvenience, they estimate 2 weeks each time I bring wheels in and never get near that, it seems like nothing gets done till I call and checkup. Too much BS. All I want from anyone that I deal with is a fair deal and for them to meet their end of it as promised or at least keep me updated if they can't. Overpaying for the coating on the first pair of wheels didn't really bother me, because they have been durable and still nearly glow. I had no problem doing it again so I got the same result, but at this point it feels 100% like they don't care at all about my job. They were posting on facebook trying to get more business to come in like they were slow during the weeks that my wheels have been there (something that doesn't look like a normal post based on their older posts), which really rubs it in because do my wheels if you're looking for something to keep you occupied. It could be that with giant ovens they don't like to run them without a lot of stuff, but that's really not my problem when we're this many weeks in and no one there has ever said that to me. They make no excuses or apologies for time that I've seen. A little bit of customer service would go such a long way for me.

I bought the same rear shock as you have (RDR 320mm shock) and i was wondering if your shock is very soft? I have the spring set to the tightest setting and it is very soft, i can bottom it out just by pushing on the rear of the scoot with my hands.

boy, I think after this kind of treatment I would be there Monday morning at opening and just pick up my wheels and save my money .

Mine's not so soft that it easily bottoms out, but I do have it set toward the stiffest end of the threads. It's still softer than I normally prefer, but it actually makes it eat up bumps fairly well. If you could push down with your hands and bottom it out, mine should definitely be bottoming out when I sit on the scoot. I'm thinking something is up with your shock. Here's an old pic, but it's still set the same way.

The shop wants me to send it back but it would take a long time and if they find that nothing is wrong i just lose money
