Yeah i think something is wrong too since it is almost new. The shop wants me to send it back but it would take a long time and if they find that nothing is wrong i just lose money I guess it depends how much you trust the shop then, because I can't see how that's normal when it doesn't happen for me. A 300lb rider plus gear, plus 2.5 gallons of fuel directly over it, that gets it on the back tire only should be bottoming it out regularly if it's normal. The question is, what sort of inspection are they going to do? If they're just going to compress it by hand off of a scoot, it may feel stiff enough unless they're going to compare it to others or do some more scientific checks.

Brooks of Lectron sent an email instead of calling. "Looking back at everything, I want you to try one more rod for me and report back. It’s a 2-3. Richer at cruising, leaner at take off, and leaner at WOT. I think this thing just has so little case volume (since it started off at 49cc) but so much velocity that is it making it difficult to pinpoint exactly what is going on (and causing it to sputter taking off, but run lean at cruise). I usually won’t sell anyone a carb for something that started out less than 70cc unless they are purely drag racing it. These carbs flow so much that it makes it tricky. I just spoke with one of my customer with a really similar setup he uses for road racing though, and I think it’s going to be the ticket. I’ll get it in the mail for you today." I replied and told him again that it's not my intention to ever make anyone look bad, and I'm simply struggling and being honest about it. I thanked him and told him I'd pay the invoice if he wants to send one and if not, thank you for the rod and your effort trying to figure it out and also sent a few pics of my cases so he can see exactly what I'm working with. I'd at least like to think that if I don't wind up with a great setup, maybe any info can help them help someone else. On a lighter note; I took trash today. The guy at the dump has a Wolf 50 that's like my TaoTao, but green. I didn't see his scooter, so I said "you didn't ride today?" He said, "It's in the shop. I needed a new motor. I'm gonna get something bigger and badder, but it's gonna be quiet so if I come up on you, you won't even know it". It's me. I would drag race scooters every day if possible. Why can't I? Where the hell are you guys? Anyway, I said, "Oh, we should line 'em up sometime once you get it back." Then I pointed to the 49ccScoot YouTube sticker on the truck's back window and said that's me, check it out. He acted excited like he knew who I was, but if you watched my vids you'd probably realize it if I were standing in front of you. lol He asked if I had another scooter I'd want to get rid of, because he wants one for his girl. He then went on to explain that she followed him too close coming home from buying his scooter (she was in a car) and he turned around to tell her to back off and ran into a ditch full of black mud (not hurt, scooter was fine). He said I wanna put her on one and let her see what's it's like to run into some black mud. One of the greatest things I've ever heard. Not, I want her to ride with me, but I want her to crash.

If I’m ever in your neighborhood I’ll do launches by your mailbox until you appear. Then I’ll find out you’re not home that day.

Missed opportunity. 🤦 T2 motor IN th taotao. T2 is nice but has a troublesome motor, an all trouble bike is better than a bike youre trying to make nice but keeps giving you hell 😂

In my last reply, I asked Brooks of Lectron about the power jet being ~5.5 turns out last time with a 2-2 rod. I assumed I would need a 3, 4 or 5 series rod because I haven't seen other recommendations with the power jet so far out so I asked if the 2-3 works and the jet is still that far out, how does that go. Should I then try to find a rod that allows lower power jet opening or is it as it would seem to me that if it works, it works. He replied with this :
"Give this a shot first. It sounded like you were WAY too rich with the 6 series rods. If we can get the bottom good, we can either install a second power jet, or put an alcohol insert in it so yours flows more."
I don't want to be negative, but a second power jet really starts getting farther away from install or make adjustments and ride. At this point, I get it. The Lectron is still a carb. It's not easy mode. Maybe what this shows is how much effort they must put into their carb kits for specific bikes since they do seem to get good reviews from lots of people with those. Either that or it shows that scooters are tough.

I’m waiting for them to suggest you take the oil out of the gas and use oil injection so it doesn’t affect the carb settings.

I really thought I'd be hearing from the powder coater after he told me that the wheels would be done the first of the week when I called last week. Guess he didn't say the first of which week.

When the phone rings I'm like a dog hearing a doorbell. My ears perk up and I quickly look at the caller ID, as if it's the powder coater. Damn! Just another PC security expert looking for amazon gift cards. This is going to slowly turn into The Shining if it continues.

I've done nothing good today. I went to the dump. There's a quick story above about the guy there and his scoot that was supposed to be in the shop getting something bigger and badder. I got out and he said, I've been looking for you. Tells me the guy that he took it to is old and says getting into the engine is a little more than he wants to do right now. Wants me to take it and make it right. Needs to be faster so he's not late for work. I would have brought an alarm clock if I knew this was the main problem. lol Then he told me how he can ride wheelies cause he has good balance, but he doesn't want to do that. Perfect, because it's a four-stroke. He says whenever he gets it back, he wants to find out the details. I was dumb enough to agree. Working on scooters for other people immediately ruins everything about scooters for me because the stress of dealing with people and I always assume that I have no idea what I'm doing. If he asked me to build a 90cc clone engine, I'd think... I dunno if I can do it. I've roped myself in though, so maybe I'll put a 47mm BBK on it (139QMB) and a tune up.
Then I decided that I was just going to show up at the powder coater's to get my wheels either finished or if they hadn't touched them. After all, I was told that the wheels would be done last Tuesday. We're 64 days into this process at this point. The wheels have to be sitting around finished and he just didn't call. Wrong. I drove just shy of 2 hours round trip only to find out that they sandblasted the wheels just this week and then forgot what color I wanted. He said he wrote down "fluorescent yellow" but he thought I said "fluorescent green". I told him the color is "Fluorescent Neon Yellow". Apparently they emailed me to aske about 2 minutes after I left to head up there. Timing. Gotta love it. I emailed back to put it in writing, because there was more than 1 yellow and I want what I have on my other wheels exactly. He said it took 3 bags to blast whatever was on the wheels off. He then reassured me that he didn't melt them this time.

You can always tell dump guy your landlord said you can’t work on other people’s bikes. It’s in your lease.
