What came of the Chinese Vforce reeds? I picked up genuine Moto Tassinari reed petals so I can be sure those don't cause me problems and that will probably go on the RC-One so I can keep the TPR engine together too (assuming no failures before then).

I've been doing more testing with the GoPro, trying to make sure I'm ready for the next show with a setup that is less likely to overheat without capturing tons of wind noise. I plan to do a vid about it at some point, but for now here are the points that matter for anyone that may be interested.
Open GoPro is by far superior for cooling if you have overheating issues. Foam "windslayer" covers do a good job of blocking wind, but should not be used when not in motion due to insulating properties. The case with cutouts covered in faux fur on the back does well blocking wind, but muffles sound. Should not be used if not moving much due to overheating. Open GoPro with faux fur mic covers allows for basically as much cooling as the standard open GoPro, but with good sound. Seems to be the best setup, though more complicated than others. There's probably a kit out there, but I made my own. Most likely any of them will come unstuck at some point and have to be redone or re-glued.
I didn't realize how muffled the sound was in my case till testing vs others. It's much more crisp without the case. The wind mode on does sort of the same thing, but the case sounds better with wind to me. It's almost a negative with T2 using more crisp sounding setups. It pronounces every rattle and really makes it an aggressive buzz. That's what I'm going with for now though. If it really bugs me, I could prob EQ out some highs.
I may switch to 4K30. Only a slight advantage in temp and battery life vs 4K60, but I use 4K30 for my output after editing anyway. To gain a large advantage, I'd have to go all the way down to 1080p30 and I like the higher res footage.
Fingers crossed that I can now make full laps of OC without shutdowns from heat.

I think I just wasted about an hour and a half on the front brake. I decided to see if I could get rid of some of the play before the lever stiffens up. Fresh fluid and bleeding. I tried standard bleeding, a syringe, a vacuum pump and it's the same as it was, just with clear fluid now instead of brownish. I've got the lever bungee corded to the bars and I'll leave it overnight, but I don't expect any change.
It has plenty of braking power, it just doesn't have a great lever feel. I don't think it ever has with the current master cylinder. I get pulsating when I brake again. Actually, it feels like I'm suddenly riding on a very rough road when I use the front brake. That's also part of why I did the fluid today. Hoping against the odds that something funky was happening that was easily cured.

Do you have a steel braided brake line?

Sounds like the disc could be possibly warped slightly.

Do you have a steel braided brake line? I do. Why? Sounds like the disc could be possibly warped slightly. That's what I was thinking, but I didn't bother to check because I wouldn't replace it right now anyway. It seems like these warp whenever I use the brake more than gently. The last one was replaced because I braked hard and immediately after it pulsated. New rotor cleared it up, but it should not be warping a rotor any time I brake hard. This is my 3rd rotor and I'm not even really wearing them.

I had the same problem that it worked well but only after half way pressing the brake, i had the wrong pin that comes between the brake cylinder and lever.

I'm kinda killin' time till I need to leave to meet Ryan at the car show in OC in a few. They've been particularly sure to mention that vehicles should not be heard 50ft away in their enforcement. Even with a modified silencer to be more quiet and an airbox, at 10-14kRPM takeoff... you'll hear it at 50ft. I think you'd hear a totally stock 2T at 50ft.
Anyway; I was looking at MD law. They have a section about smoke in their transportation code...
"(c) Discharge of smoke; maximum period of idling. -- (1) No motor vehicle may be operated, nor may the owner or lessee of a motor vehicle permit it to be operated, on any highway in this State unless the engine power and exhaust mechanism is equipped, adjusted, and operated to prevent:
(i) The discharge of clearly visible smoke (comparable to smoke equal to or darker in shade than that designated as No. 1 of the Ringelmann Chart as published by the U.S. Bureau of Mines) in the exhaust emissions within the proximity of the exhaust outlet for more than 10 consecutive seconds; and (ii) The discharge of smoke from any other part of the engine in such amounts and of such opacity as to partially obscure persons or objects from view.
(2) In this subsection, "smoke" means small gasborne and airborne particles, exclusive of water vapor, from a process of combustion in sufficient numbers to be observable."
At that rate, unless it's a smokeless 2T... it doesn't meet code. I guess this is yet another law where we just have to be glad that cops don't pay much attention to it.

The weather was perfect in OC this afternoon/evening. Ryan and I made a few laps. We had a group of 4T scoots pull out in front of us just before our light turned green. It was pretty close, but we managed to squeak by them. As usual, I think we surprised some people. Some dude on a bicycle pulled up beside us at a light. I heard him say something about a race. The light turned green. I looked back and saw Ryan, the bike, and all of the cars still at the light and seriously thought I ran a red light or something. Ryan said he had a foot race with the bicycle. lol The local law enforcement has done a great job of scaring away a lot of people. I've never seen such nice weather on a Friday night without traffic jams and the crowds of spectators weren't as big. Regardless, I always enjoy riding with Ryan and both scoots ran well. Very many non-DOT-approved clouds were made.

Another great night in OC. Car count is definitely down from the police presence but still a decent turnout. We had a few cars play along and the mosquito could is surely down now.

The under plug temp sender snapped off at some point last night. I tried to tell Ryan that it's from the brute force that T2 exerts on everything around it, but he didn't seem to believe me. Whatever the cause, a replacement is on the way. Looks like it was running plenty rich. I changed the plug before the show and it didn't really get any color, because I think it was washing it that well. I don't normally have much oil running down the pipe and oil spatter around the stinger, so it's likely from putting around and lots of time idling at lights. I checked the belt. That was also replaced right before the show and never used till the show. 55 miles and it's down to 17.35mm.
