I haven’t had much issues with this carb after finding a decent setting. I’ve got decent egt and don’t have over flowing issues like you’ve encountered. The intake has gotten a bit too soft as you saw in Tennessee and due to be replaced but that’s not really carb related. LMR makes a nice looking I take but not sure if it’s worth the money. I’ll double check what the carb is set at and post here. www.lmrengines.com/shop/lmr/alimentazioni/intake-manifold-lmr-32-to-34-carb/

I think Pete has that or one of the LMR intakes. They look nice, but I'm not paying $104 USD plus shipping for an intake. I may just try to level it out at some point, but I kinda wanna see if the big carb does make any difference and I dunno if the Lectron 30mm is the right way to find out. I'd need to stock up on pistons first. There's also the thought that they do make the VHST with regular floats attached to the arm instead of on rods. Not sure if it's as easy as just getting the float stuff and a new bowl or not.

Thanks 808ministroke. I don't know what I'm doing yet. I raised the float height a half mm or so this morning and took it for a ride. I was cruising along on the shoulder at 35 or so and my sport bike friend happened to pull up beside me on his way to work in his car. Perfect testing opportunity. I passed him and the truck in front of him at almost 80 on the shoulder before letting off. Never seemed to run the bowl low. I rode around town and woke everyone up. People on a quiet corner surrounded by brick buildings gave a WTF look over their $10 cups of coffee as I tried to get moving from a light. Construction workers at the local home center stopped and watched me roll through, so I gave 'em a little smoke to enjoy. Dude driving a garbage truck was smiling and laughing as I cleared it out while sitting at a red light. And then there are the folks that you can tell are thinking what's wrong with that thing/this guy or what an a-hole. lol Ran it up over 70 a couple more times on the way home and cruised around 60 for a bit. No problems. Give it time though. It'll randomly be a pain in my ass sooner or later. I was doing 70+ at 13,400RPM so I've got some headroom there, but I still don't think the power is there for me to ever go too far beyond 80 with this setup. I'm a heavy dude punching a big hole in the air. That said, I had a long day yesterday. Fell asleep while editing Wed night around 11:30. Got up at 4AM and started editing Thur. Had some breaks to do other things, but edited off and on till near midnight last night. Got up at 5AM today to finish up some things and upload a video. After that, I can't tell you how good it felt to just go ride. Everything was OK in the world for a bit. New vid about the Polini belt and Hi-Speed variator will go live at noon eastern BTW. I'm gonna look for a ~36mm OD tube with a 30° bend. It may cause carb clearance issues with the seat so I dunno if I'll wind up using it or not, but it's at least worth a try if I can find something not too expensive. I also need to pickup a new plug wire. Mine's fine, but it's getting about as short as it can be withou issue from cutting ends off when installing new plug caps.

Looks like 35mm-ish is prob gonna be the best bet for a mandrel bent tube because it's 1 3/8". Still not coming up with much. I can get a SS 35mm tube with a 30 degree bend for $41. Seems like a lot for just a short piece of tubing with a small bend. If it were 1.5" or 2" or something, cheaper and more abundant. I may get it. I can get a 45 degree for about $30, again because it's more common I guess. By the time I get a coupler and clamps and wind up $50 in, I go back to thinking I'd be better off to get a different carb first and if I wanna level something out do it on that instead of doing it twice. Part of me says it works now so just ride it.

I ordered one of those Patriot pipes on amazon. Same price, just free shipping. I thought about sectioning a straight pipe, but never thought about just using part of a larger bend... which to me sounds like it may wind up more smooth.

I love the U bend tubes, for the same price as a single angle bend, you get most any angle needed and then some left over for the next project!

I rode about 135 miles around swamp areas on the TMAX with my sport bike friend yesterday. I was supposed to ride to Ocean City with him today, but he said he woke up sick. I still wanted to ride, so I decided to take T2 out. Kinda wanted to go to OC too. Hmmm. Guess it's about time for the RC-One to go to the beach on it's own (no truck). It was a 175 mile ride. On the way down, I was trying to make sure I didn't burn too much fuel. I cruised around 55MPH most of the time. I got 43MPG doing that. Only took 1 lap around the beach and got 37.2MPG in the bike lane. I cruised around 60MPH part of the way back and got 35.16MPG with a little headwind. The last half of the ride home I went faster. Haven't filled it up to check, but I'm sure not great MPG. I was doing 60-75 on the highway briefly. I got in a lane that changes to turn only and blew past a line of cars at a light. Passed multiple vehicles on 50MPH roads. I passed one van right after a turn. Took the long way through a town. Caught him again and passed him again. I was out there earning subscribers the hard way. Just read this... OC is a lot different when it's not a car show. It was much less busy than I expected today. I did try to race a GSX-R with a passenger at a light. I think I probably got him to 40-50MPH. Surprising people is an effective way to get ahead. lol Got a thumbs up from him. Then he was in the bike lane later and stopped at a light, I slowed so I was moving when it turned green and burned past, but he wasn't having it and went back around me. I tried. I'm still working on getting my sport bike friend to pilot T2 for me. I wanna see what he does on it. He's much lighter, but he's a rider too. He said he'll have to ride it a bit and get used to it first. He can launch his bike and carry the wheel through at least first and second so I said you should be fine. T2 will also come up off the line, but it's not pulling like that sport bike, you've only got the throttle to worry about, and once you're at 25-30 you don't have to worry about it coming up anymore. We'll see. I don't care if he does anything spectacular, but I'd like to see what someone much lighter than me can get out of it.
