Hey everyone i got a Eton Beamer 3 2007 and right now its pretty good i put on an aftermarked airfilter, and derestricted it and it goes about 45mph on flat. It has a kinda slow take off then bogs out a lil then the power band kicks in. Im thinking of getting a BBK or jus anyway to make it faster but im asking what are ways like y directions i can go onto making it faster, im thinking of adding a pipe and then i need to adjust my rollers but i want to add on a BBK maybe a 72cc but im asking you guys im still a newb :riding: Thanks soooo much

Lighter weights and higher rpm clutch springs will help take off

As I said in the other thread, the bolt in 90cc is gonna be hard to find. Great motors, they've cracked down on importing them. You could build one, but that sure isn't for everyone.
I'd honestly just try a big bore and variator first with everything else stock (rejetted and tuned though). If you didn't have an open filter it would take off faster and go faster and should be almost as quiet as stock. I did an Eton Beamer for a customer (shown in the BBK how to thread) with a sport BBK, rejet, and tuned the CVT with roller weights (he already had a Hoca variator and stiffer clutch springs). He's been very happy with it for a couple of years now. It did 50MPH with me on it at around 300lbs. That's on the stock speedo, but it seemed pretty accurate. WIth light rollers it would pick the wheel up a little taking off, but I went with heavier rollers for better all around performance. Never checked, but I assumed the Etons must have pretty deep final drive gears. You can get the Hoca BBK and Hoca vari from PFS for $199.98 (free shipping over $99). Till June 30 code "SUMMER2012" gives 10% off to make the total $179.98. That includes no main jets or different rollers/sliders (other than what's in the Hoca variator) or clutch springs. BTW the Hoca vari needs 16x13 rollers or sliders, so if you have any for the stocker (15x12) they won't work.
That's just me. A good pipe is a nice addition, don't get me wrong. A carb can keep the engine nice and cool and maybe even give you a little more power. I just think you could get a good result with the big bore and variator in tune. Maybe file the stock fixed drive face (other half of the variator) and work on the clutch with stiffer springs or lightening shown in one of my earlier posts here. If you were happy like that, you'd save a good bit of money. If not, pick any pipe you like that suits your taste later (lots out there with different looks, sounds, and performance). If you want a carb intake, I'd go DellOrto carb with the stock intake opened up a little vs that stuff. For reeds I really like the VFORCE3 stuff, but they're $100 and up. There are other cheaper options. The Hoca reeds need the screws filed down just to fit the engine and aren't same quality as stuff by Stage 6, Polini, Top Performance, etc...

I'm not saying the power pack is not good, I'm just saying I prefer other stuff and unless you just want to get it all over with you could go a step or two at a time and maybe save some cash that way if you end up pleased without buying everything. The items I recommended above are : Hoca big bore PFS part number 169-57 Hoca variator PFS part number 169-139 Those both assume it's a small spline/10mm wrist pin. To my knowledge all the Eton scoots are, never hurts to check. The reason I give part numbers for PFS is that I make a small commission if you buy from them through my links or banner, but they won't let me link directly to parts. That said, I can assure you I won't recommend you anything that I don't think is good. I've owned at least 5 Hoca variators and I have a larger Hoca BBK on my 103cc and have placed a lot of orders with PFS . I don't think you'll find a better deal on a good variator from a trusted seller. For the BBK you could go other ways. Examples... Autotech355's BBK. He's out of Taiwan so shipping is slower than the US sellers, but quite a few members are running his kits and pleased with them. www.ebay.com/itm/performance-cylinder-kit-47mm-70cc-Eton-Dinli-Polaris-Minarelli-ATV-Scooter-/330753291274?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4d026eb40aRacingPlanetUSA has quite a few iron sport cylinders. www.racingplanetusa.com/engine-performance-parts-c-2948_8592_8604-1.html?sessID=016f17a7938e73debd06aa2f33f7c350So that's where I'd start, BBK and vari and of course tuning parts like jets and roller or slider weights and clutch springs and perhaps a stiffer contra spring. Here's a kit with clutch and contra springs. Good price. www.ebay.com/itm/Race-Spring-Yamaha-JOG-1E40QMB-50cc-90cc-scooter-moped-/330755635532?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4d0292794cThe rollers/sliders for stock variators are 15x12mm and for a Hoca variator are 16x13mm. PFS , treatland.tv, and all sorts of sellers carry those. I like sliders better, but they're quite expensive to buy a bunch to tune with. So are good rollers for that matter. A lot of people buy tuning kits and then get a good set or two of rollers/sliders once they know pretty much what they need. Below are examples of tuning sets, again what size depends what variator you'll be using. 15x12 (this is 3 of each weight, I'd consider 2 kits to have a full set of each, but you could be fine with just 1 set) www.ebay.com/itm/Race-MIXING-Rollers-for-YAMAHA-15x12mm-LOW-SET-APRILIA-JOG-WHY-ZUMA-WHY-BWS-CRZ-/400276874340?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d325c6464&vxp=mtr16x13 (same deal, 3 of each weight) www.ebay.com/itm/Race-MIXING-Rollers-for-HONDA-PEUGEOT-BAOTIAN-LOW-SET-16x13-DIO-BALI-SHADOW-SKY-/400276867760?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d325c4ab0&vxp=mtrI'd go with sliders. They last longer and I like their performance better. You can't keep the tuning rollers in there long. Well, you can... but you shouldn't. They really aren't made to last, just a cheap way to find what you need. 15x12 Dr Pulley sliders from PFS 169-216 16x13 Dr Puller sliders from PFS 169-217 And of course you'll need jets for the carburetor. I usually buy from JetsRUs. They are quick and decent prices. Well, I see they only have genuine Mikuni jets ATM. More money for the same thing as the generics they did carry. jetsrus.com/a_jets_by_carburetor_type/jets_mikuni_VM11-22_main.htmHere's another spot that I've bought jets. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/53/213/930/-/25098/Mikuni-VM11-22-Series-Main-Jet/VM11%252F22So that's the stuff I recommended above. If you want the whole bundle with a pipe and carb.... From what I've seen with other members, I think I'd actually try the Stage 6 Pro Replica exhaust. The Hoca is probably good, as are Leo Vince pipes and others, but some of our members seem very happy with their Pro Reps. There are other versions like chrome or with carbon fiber, but the link below is the basic model. www.racingplanetusa.com/exhaust-stage6-replica-clear-coating-minarelli-horizontal-p-2820-1.html?sessID=9610ddbcb0e8e60bfa2c9a2c8f6b3e32For the carb I'd go with a DellOrto 19-21mm PHBG. Both of the ones below are for a remote operated pull choke. There are also some where you can reach in and choke it. Easier to install, but sometimes more of a pain for daily use... depends how well you can reach the carb on your scoot. www.treatland.tv/dellorto-PHBG-19mm-black-race-carburetor-p/dellorto-phbg-19-ds-race-2695.htmwww.treatland.tv/dellorto-PHBG-21mm-black-race-carburetor-p/dellorto-phbg-21-ds-race-2696.htmThis is the air filter adapter so the above carbs work with a stock airbox or with a filter that fits the stock carb... www.treatland.tv/dellorto-PHBG-air-filter-adapter-p/dellorto-phbg-velocity-small.htmThe 19-21mm DellOrtos will work in a stock intake so you don't have to replace that. If I were going to get aftermarket reeds I'd go with VFORCE3, but they're expensive and there are a lot of other options... www.drowsports.com/product/32/Engine/Fuel___Air/Stage6_V-Force3_Reed_Valve_-_Minarelli_HorizontalI hope that is helpful cause it took me an hour to post. lol

Yeah, you don't even have to have the variator. I think they're a good deal though and work well.
Maybe some Eton pipes are restricted, but the one I did the kit on worked well. I always thought if Etons were restricted it was by the CDI. I will say a tuned pipe can give you a big boost in power, so he could mean that I guess. That'd be like saying it's restricted cause it doesn't have nitrous though. lol
Not sure which is the best fit. I have a Leo Vince for an Aerox and that fits well on my Chinese case. I have A Leo Vince for a Zuma and that's dented to clear their center stand and the mounts weren't quite right. If no one else knows for sure, I'd just pick the Aerox version.

YI have A Leo Vince for a Zuma and that's dented to clear their center stand and the mounts weren't quite right. If no one else knows for sure, I'd just pick the Aerox version. I can confirm. The Leo for Zuma would require some bracket tweaking to fit, pretty far off. The big dent in the bottom is sort of scary at first , but I would look for a pipe that will retain the center stand. Depending on the stock Eton sidestand means you will be sanding and painting plastic at some point :paranoid: Im OK with the sound of my Eton, but the pipe weighs about 25 lbs, it seems :spin: Im going to look into the Aerox :thumb: My Eton run great as-is. 43 on the flats and 32-35 up some pretty steep hills in my city area . . .

Never tried it, but I don't think I'd buy Scrappy's performance stuff. The variator looks like a stocker with slight improvements. I don't think their cylinder kits are necessarily the same quality as others.
I have tons of links above for what you need.
