Hi everybody, i hope i created this topic is in the right section. I've got Aprilia SR 2002 49cc with Suzuki/Morini engine. I would like to change it to more powerful engine like 125cc. I know that minarelli horizontal doesn't fit this type of frame, but what about piaggio 125cc? Is there any way to change this engine to 125cc?
Thanks.

Sorry, I don't really know much about that engine or scoot. Hopefully someone else will. I know in most cases you end up needing to do some fabrication work to get a different engine mounted and you will probably also need to do some wiring work.

I had one of those, and they are great scooters, but they do have their fair share of quirks. I'm thinking about another one actually, I really enjoyed it while I had it. Here are the two best information resources for those bikes: www.apriliaforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?73-Aprilia-and-Piaggio-50cc-and-Others&s=b124581df936eb07e64ee9a855f33546And www.highgaintuning.com/Have fun, but be forewarned, modding that particular bike, well, any scooter really, becomes quite the obsession... I know most people who have that bike choose to make the Morini engine work with a BBK and other mods, as there aren't many fuel injected LC 2T's out there, so it is pretty cool on its own. They can get quite fast this way. Good luck and have fun! Matt

You might fit A 100CC out of a Suzuki V100, address 100. Or you might just ride the V100, as they look about the same size as a 50 anyway?

Thank you. Now i started thinking about modding the engine that i have now, but what about crankshaft? Bike is pretty old so i don't know if the crankshaft would go with a new cylinder (i'm talking about 70cc)..
