My shop is a disaster area so I finally got off my butt and started cleaning and throwing out a bunch of stuff. Today I built a new work bench and some storage. I also ran the cable TV out there so I can watch my beloved Lakers while I work. Still a lot of work left to do with the rest of the shop but it's coming around. A fridge and some shag carpeting and it'll be nice. ;D Before: Look at the back wall. After: I also got tired of stepping over the ramp when it was down so I put a chain on there to hold it up out of the way.

Very nice. I like the benches. One thing I have learned, you can never have too much (or enough) storage in a garage.
My garage is a mess right now. In the winter I tend to work on something then leave tools out so I can get out of the cold. I never sweep either, just clean up fluid spills and big stuff. I gotta get some cleaning done. I did just get cable ran out to my garage recently also. I did it to watch NASCAR though. It seemed like I always had something to work on when a race was on. I've had a pretty big stereo system out there for some time too. That's great when spending long periods of time out there as well. Your favorite tunes, loud as hell, makes the time pass easier.
I'll snap some pics soon. If anyone else wants to share, it'd be cool to see where everyone works on their scoots. Show us what you like or what you've found handy out there so we can steal each other's ideas. lol

Overview. I really need to finish the wall on the right. The garage was built unfinished with no insulation or anything. I finished 3 walls in a somewhat reasonable amount of time, the last one has been like this for about a year I think. Here's the area I spend most of my time in. Building that workbench was the best thing I've done for the garage. I've never had a place to work like that before. I would just sit in the floor and work. It also allows me to have a bench top vice, another thing that amazed me with it's usefulness. The cabinet with the small toolbox is an old one from a bathroom. Pretty much matches the scenery and it was free. I just had to make a counter top for it and secure it to the wall and the workbench. Notice all the bottles of AMSOil Sabre 2T oil on the shelf. I like to be prepared. lol Actually it's just cheaper by the case. This area is a mess, but it's another one of my favorite things that I built out here. I used 1x3s to make can/bottle storage and a few shelves for a little larger stuff. The small can storage areas are tight to the wall and really don't take up any space... not that it matters right now with all the crap in the way. The stereo. ;D 2 recievers, one to drive the subs and one for the main speakers. Kicker SS1200 up on the shelf (2 12" woofers, 2 horn drivers), Bose speakers in 2 corners, 12" Optimus sub, and a 15" Kicker Solobaric L5. ;D Double-bass rattles your guts. It's all old stuff from when I was younger other than the 15" that I got for free! Some dude left it at his mom's house and he wouldn't pick it up. She gave him every chance to get it off of her porch and finally gave it to a friend. He gave it to me because he knew I'd actually use it. ;D I love free stuff. The hubcap and grill were found in my yard. We've had a lot of wrecks in front of my house and sometimes they don't clean up well, so I find garage decor. lol

Nice sign! Who did the artwork? Can't beat a warm shop in the winter. When the summer heat rolls around you might wanna share space again. If only electric were free, I'd have AC in the garage. lol

Thanks ;D! My son Paxton, his mother, and his aunt made that sign a couple years ago when we(my son and i) got into radio control. I think they did a great job too . My son is quite the artist. He wants to start racing BMX this year. Im all for it ;D My garage gets hot in the summer also. Need to add a fan in the rear for better ventilation this year. And of course sweet talk my son into letting me borrow his shop again .

lol Yeah, lots of 80's fad movies seemed cool then... now they're just funny. I thought Breakin' 2 : Electric Boogaloo was cool when I was little... now the name even makes me laugh.

Oh you just had to steal my thunder showing off pics of your Shop/Mansion/Music studio huh Brent? ;D Seriously, pics of your shop I had seen before motivated me to get mine in order. I want to project an image of professionalism and competence when people bring their scoots over so I can gouge their wallets that much more! So I take it the Mustang with the hood scoop is the baddest one right? I ran outta gas once in Wash. state and I got a ride from a state trooper to the gas station in a 5.0 interceptor. It felt like a carnival ride. Vwooooom! I was scared a little. I see from your third pic that you are single handedly keeping the L-Bracket Mfg's. in business. 2strokd: I like the sign too. V-8... There is no substitute! Hey shiftless! Your shop works and that's all that matters.

My "shop" = the outside area of my garage. I literally have JUST enough room to park Triton in the garage, but no room to work on it. So when I need to work on it, I do it in front of the garage. When I need to work on anything OFF of it, I use the basement.

Start chunkin' stuff outside and make room for that scoot! I wish I could! Thats the only reason I had to store the scooter in a rented garage down the street for the winter. We don't have enough room for my scooter + the snowblower at the same time.
