I have a Toatoa VIP in need of a crank. I have a new SD 72cc kit, NCY Var., Unsealed stock carb18mm, 20mm carb. I am ready to buy www.partsforscooters.com/169-239_Crankshaft_QMB139?sc=11&category=735I have the stock 63cc -69mm head I plan on using. With non-restricted stock air box. May go with A-9 cam. and a 4.00x10 tire with stock gears. Exhaust not sure -stock or performance? I would like your input on anything to do or not to do and why. I have nothing in the scooter. But when I sell it I would like to make a $ or 2 lol

Skip the stroker as Larry has one and it eats up variators with the extra torque . Maybe Larry and Hoca will come up with one that will hold up . I would just get a stock one since you plan on selling it .At 190 a new crate engine is not much more .
No need to use a free flowing airfilter unless you have an unrestricted exhaust . With restricted exhaust an increased air intake would bottle neck . The best way to get more power is with lighter variator weights and they are cheap

I'd just stick with the 72cc kit and a standard crank if your goal is to flip it. That or get a cheap crate motor like skutta said and save or sell the HP parts. You never get enough money back to justify paying big for mods when you plan to sell. I can't see the crank making $100 difference in resale value.

Yes I see what you are saying. But Larry has a Monster cc and mine would be 76cc. Ive had 49 thru 83cc 4stk scoots. Just like to play with a different stroke. I am a 2stk so guy so. Do I need to see a psychologist?

Do I need to see a psychologist? i suspect his problems are coming from the extra torque from the longer stroke. the bore is not really making a difference in the case of the variator splines.

my vote re:Larry is the long rides at near WOT
look at the small 28 splines of the 139qmb with a single driving face.
I am not at all surprised that he is stripping the teeth of the single aluminum drive face.
I am sure this was a problem for Kymco with the kiwi 100/mongoose 90 and why they changed the crank to a long spline like the jog 50 for the jr100. The older versions of the Kymco 100cc engines use the same size splines as a 139qmb.
wish I had links to cite, but my Chinese googling remains very basic.
