Parts list for the Kymco mongoose 90 bottom mount engine to convert to a 123cc engine
This is near to a 100% rebuild to a new engine on the old case.
only things not replaced are the bearings and gears in the gear box.
You can use the m90 crank & variator, but, the splines holding the fixed face are the same size as a 139qmb & I would expect the small teeth on the variator fixed face to strip off with a build over 100cc
with the JR100, both faces of the variator are drive faces, so the torque force on the fixed face teeth is less, plus the splines are larger.
Kymco JR100 crankshaft, standard 51.8mm stroke
EDIT: I actually got a RUIMA crank--LAB4/51.8 STD
exactly same as kymco
this crank is long splined on variator side (like a jog50)
autotech355 can obtain stroker cranks (2.5mm-8mm) if wanted with 15mm wrist pin size
JR100 starter clutch, mounts on variator side of crank, on splined part
the m90 starter clutch will not fit the JR100 crank
JR100 variator, fixed face, boss, moving face & ramp plate, uses 16x13 rollers
the m90 variator fixed face, boss & ramp plate will not fit the JR100 crank
JR100 55mm cylinder kit, 13mm wrist pin
larger than 55mm requires case mod
JR100/m90 TD-clutch assembly
JR100 torque & clutch spring set
JR100 kick start ratchet
GY6-150 cam and cam holder
GY6-150 oil pump & chain 44link
GY6-150 cam chain ( shortened to 86links)
kymco US wanted $50 for the cam chain
GY6-150 crankcase oil seals
all 4 oil seals are same size as GY6
gaskets.. crankcase(2) and gear box(1)
GY6-125 head, valves 24mm/21.5mm
GY6-125 valve cover & gasket (non epa style)
GY6 driveshaft/axle
you pick length depending on 1 or 2 shock scooter frame
starter motor
brake shoes & cam parts for rear drum brakes
center stand
carb + intake manifold & spacer
intake and exhaust studs
the Kymco M90 is DC fired
so you need a dc cdi and the stator is 150watt half wave, like a generic china scoot, so it should be no problem to patch into china scoot wiring.
have not got to that point yet, but will post the results.
