So I just bought an Agility 50 scooter and it needs a CVT belt. Where would I go about getting one locally and are they hard to replace? I have mechanical experience working on cars somewhat. And where is a good place to get a helmet and what should I be looking to spend on each? Thank you!

:welcome: to the forum. The only place to get a proper belt is if you have a scooter shop local. Otherwise, you'll prob need to order online. Unfortunately there's no nationwide chain of ScooterZone or Advance Scooter Parts or Scoot Boys.

Hi With proper maintenance and repairs a very long time. ive seen some people hit 15,000+ miles on theres when cared for properly. Any scooter no matter the make or brand is only as good as the service it receives. Take care and ride safely Yours Hank

I am having a hard time getting the CVT cover off of my scooter. I have the belt and removed all the bolts I could find along with the air filter box but it just wont budge! Its a 139QMB with 10" wheels.

use a rubber mallet. a few bumps and it usually will slide off. most of the time the gasket is "sticky" and it is just a matter of breaking the seal

Besides the 8mm sockets is there any other tool I might need to get the actual belt off once I remove the cover?

Can it be done without an impact wrench? Just with a 17mm socket and manpower?

An impact wrench is the quickest easiest way, as long as you have juice to power it. But I actually prefer a spanner wrench. AKA "GY6 50CC variator remover puller tool". I picked up a cheap one for $5 You pull the fan shround and fan on the opposite side, exposing the flywheel. Hold the the spanner on the fly wheel to keep the engine from turning. And use your man power.
