I use an impact just like the one in the link below but I got mine at O'reilly auto parts. $30 www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-1-2-half-inch-emergency-impact-wrench-92349.htmlYou can run it off a scooter battery or a car battery. They come with 4 sockets but they are kinda cheap and the 17mm cracked over time so I invested in a few quality impact sockets that will never break. I've had mine for at least 3 or 4 years. It's been through a lot of use cause I repair scooters for a living and it still works great. They sort of wind up and then WHACK!

Thanks fox, I just don't have that kind of cash right now, but I saved it in my favorites so hopefully in a couple weeks I can buy it. So today I opened up the front end of the cvt where the weights are, and I didn't see anything weird. There is a video of it, and you can see that there is no excessive space between anything, everything is snug fit and rollers are flat spot free. I haven't checked out the back because I don't have an impact wrench. but here is the video. and a picture. (I checked it after and the noise was still there when the cvt was operating) :zap2:

Update. I also checked the clutch setup and everything was fine, nothing loose, but I noticed that the big torque springs weren't straight. It looked like it was out of place a little bit. Any suggestions?
