Well i just got my second scoot, this time a 150cc, and gave the 50cc to the wife so we could ride together. Long story short, it's main jet is a 107,and when I pulled the spark plug out it's dry as a bone. It looks like it just came out of the box and doesn't have any indication of fuel or oil, so I'm guessing it must be running lean. I'm still very new to all this and must say this site saved my 50cc taotao from blowing up.
I tried moving the c clip in the carb to the lower position,but that didn't change anything. It's not getting any power past 3/ 4 throttle just like my taotao did when it was too lean.
So my question is what main jet should beg in a stock 150cc gy6 scoot.
I should also add it only has 80 miles on it, i just got it about 2 months ago from saferholsaler, and when I tried to explain what was going on to them, I asked for the correct jet Suprisingly they sent me a new carb. Only problem is, the one they sent has an even smaller main jet (105)
From looking on scrappy dog for a 150cc main jet, they start at 115, is that going to be to big of a jump for stock?
Someone sent me a great link for a set of jets for only 5.95$ for a nice variety but the Site says the seller is out of town till Oct 8th and the shipping will take longer than usual,
If someone else could point me in the rite direction, I no there pretty cheep, but most places charge shipping, and I got still have 5 or 6 jets from my 50cc that I didn't even have to try. Nobody likes wasting money rite, especially twice!
