I was at my local favorite "everything" store getting my dogs some food yesterday and was looking at the E3 diamond fire spark plugs. Anybody ever try em? I saw them tested on one of fav. weekend shows a while back. They picked up 11hp on a SB Chevy test motor just from swapping plugs ! Then, a couple weeks later they brought in this fancy emissions testing equipment and tested the plugs. In short, they are allot cleaner burning plug also. Now this could be a bunch of BS, but this show hasnt BS,ed me yet so i figured i would give em a shot. I picked my scooter first cause its only got one cylinder to fill and these plugs are $5 a piece. I did have to get a 6 because they didnt have an 8 there. Might be too hot of a plug?

They are a neat idea, never tried 'em. 6 does sound a bit spicy.

Think my head temp will go up? Just wondering if my temp gauge will tell me?

The gauge should tell you. With a stout setup that causes higher temps, I just hope the plug doesn't get hot enough to cause pre-ignition or something. I doubt it though. I've ran 7s just fine.

Update on the E3! Greeeaat plug! ;D I even drown this thing in fuel and oil just to see if it would foul....NOPE! No hot heads to worry about either. My head temps stayed the same. I would recommend one to anybody. Get the right heat range tho Im running a 6, could be risky???

We used to get them for our dirt bikes. My dad would aways pick out the ones with multiple grounds. I never really could tell if they made much of a difference, but he swore by em. I was younger and didn't really know the difference. Sounds logical to me though. The mutliple grounds would allow the electricity to pick the easiest path, instead of always being forced to go through the same path. Seems like the spark would be more consistent. You would feel a smoother idle...? - Maybe since you have that nice Koso tach and all, 2strokd ( ) you can do a test for us to see if the diamond fire has a smoother idle than the single ground plugs?

Ended up putting the good ole NGKBR8ES back in Skeedr. The E3 was great but my Traxxas temp gauge hated that sucker! Only time i could get a good reading is when i shut the scoot off. Any other time the engine was running the temp gauge would flash on and off, and just plain flip out around that E3.

What plug is equivalent to a BR8ES in E3's style? I might order one on ebay.

Hm, thats a bit confusing. I checked the sizes of a E3.46 and it seems to match my BR9EIX perfectly. Yet the E3.31 is supposed to be its equal
