I used a 150 carb and intake and spacer on a big bored 50 (80cc). The install was simple, since they both have the same bolt pattern and the same throttle cable worked on both. I port matched the head to the spacer for the intake. I like the 50cc carb better though. I never could get the same throttle response from the 150 carb as I could from the stock carb. I think the lack of an accelerator pump may have been to blame more than anything else.

You may have to do a but of CAREFUL trimming of the cooling shroud to get the manifold on.
Worked ok here.

Thank you guys. I'm on a learning curve here. Stepping into the parts sales with tech help. I don't have a 50cc to play with. The smallest engine I ever owned was a 70cc passport back in the late eighties.
Bernt I have been watching some of your videos, very nice job!

Are you using the chrome intake or the rubber one?

The chrome one is too big for my 150cc also. Just doesn't fit in the space available.

so what then...is the big carb better or not? how can it work without the accelerator pump? I want THE PUUUMP! i'm at 50mm piston right now...if I get the stroker crank I think the little carb will make no more sense :/
