My scoot is leaking oil from the transmission area.... The guy I hired to fix it said the following:
1) I removed the clutch 2) Drained the remaining oil from the gearbox (very little see picture) 3) Removed the gear box housing. 4) Inspected the gears and seals 5) Reinstalled the gearbox cover with thread locking compound on the bolts. 6) Filled the gearbox with new oil
...now only a week later it's starting to leak oil from the same area again. What should I do? Replace the gearbox gasket and the gearbox bearing seals?

"from the transmission area" is kinda vague. Could be a drain bolt not sealing. Could have been over filled and it's leaking through the overflow passage. Could be a gasket not sealed. Could be a seal.

Could be a seal. Oh ok - So it sounds like I should just bring it back in to the mechanic and have him diagnose.... thanks!

Before you take it back, make sure it's not coming from a hole in the bottom of the case. There is a hole down there that is an overflow. If it came from there it most likley just means it was overfilled.

Good call, 90G - the oil leak has stopped by itself. I guess it was just overflow
