Nose wheelies (kind of). Hopefully I get better, and can actually ride them for longer. I've tried the technique I see on other videos, where they bounce then hit the break, but my tire just slides. I'm also running at full PSI (Probably why I break traction toward the end of the video - Wasn't intimidating at all, on the contrary, I break traction on my front wheel a lot, lately, for fun - I know, I'm a little wreckless. Oh well). I think I'm going to try and lower the PSI and see if I can't ride one. I'm also thinking I'll try going faster than 20 mph. Not today, of course.
I caved and went out for a little more. My neighbors started to stare. No more of that for a while. Definitely don't want the cops to start rolling around.
For some reason, the sound is off. At least, for me it is.
Edit: YouTube is being really really slow right now. Won't process! I would have waited to post but I'm about to leave for the night. Give it a few minutes...

Awww. It not processed yet. I'll have to come back in a bit.
I never have been able to do stoppies. Most scoots won't even skid the front tire with me on 'em. I have to sit forward off of the seat just to skid the rear tire unless it's rear disc.
On a semi-related note, I took T2 to town last night and had a few people gesturing for me to do wheelies. I really gotta learn to do 'em higher than a few inches to a foot. I don't do it now cause it's pathetic looking. It would just amuse me to shut up the kids that think they're cool yelling at a scooter. 2strokd needs to come visit me. lol

Ah I'll be able to do that in a month or two, at the most SIKE. That was sick though. He's got one hell of a hill to do it on, too. He also just finds the balance point and rides it. I'm more just trying to get the back wheel up even just a little bit at this point.

LMAO! Those vids were great! ;D Doing a Stoppie on a Chinese scooter is putting a lot of faith in the quality of the forks. I would never EVER try it after I saw these pics a year or so ago. I saved them to photobucket to show you youngsters what could happen. This scooter lost the forks just riding over a railroad track at around 25MPH.

Yeah I didn't think it felt all to great when I was doing it. Kinda felt like I was stressing it really bad. Maybe I'll hold off on them until I do something about getting a better suspension and maybe a stabilizing bar. Power wheelies are where it's at

I've seen those pics and heard that story, only as much as you mentioned though. I just wonder if there was more to it than riding over railroad tracks at 25MPH. Maybe that's when it snapped, but what had the owner or previous owner been doing? Not saying it couldn't just be junk either, but that's about 1/8" steel that just sheered right off.

Yeah he was probably doing Stoppies and jumping it off curbs and all that but the point is is how much faith do you have in your particular set of forks? If they snap while doing a Stoppie you're F'd. After looking at the pics closely I think that the forks are quite rusty like the scooter was left in the rain for a long time. I'm sure that probably contributed to the metal failure as well...

Possibly. Coming from someone that's wrecked 2 myself and fixed a wrecked one for a friend, I just believe it's a fluke. I crashed and bent what I'd call the triple clamp (where the forks clamp in). That was at about 35MPH and once it slid out from me on a turn it smacked the front wheel into a median. I crashed and bent the handlebars, but the rest of the steering was fine. That was my latest wreck at 40-50MPH being stopped suddenly by the front tire hitting a hay bail. My friend's girlfriend crashed and bent the triple clamp area as well. She crashed in his yard by hitting something. 3 for 3 we've bent stuff up and never snapped anything.
To be fair, a friend's mother was just driving down the road doing 55-60MPH on the highway when she hit a small bump and something in her suspension snapped and the front wheel and some other bits ended up coming off. This was in a Ford Explorer. I don't know all the details, but I wouldn't be scared to ride in an Explorer because of one incident.
I get your point though. If you are going to do stuff that's hard on your vehicle you need to be able to trust it and accept the fact that you will probably crash at some point and/or break some parts. Looking at it that way, if this is your only ride to work you might not wanna get that rear wheel any higher dr.

Yeah Brent the whole point of my argument is:
1) It's made in China.
2) It's made in China.
3) You wanna trust your grill to Chinese made stuff then you got more balls than me.
I worry about my forks when I'm doing 45 MPH on an flat. I also worry a little about my engine seizing up on my 4 stroke at speed. There's nothing but me, the road, 45-50+ MPH and a Chinese built machine.
It's all about the size of your Huevos...

I'm so used to cruising 50-60MPH on bumpy back roads on my Chinese scooters that I never really think about that stuff. I'm even twice the size of most scooter riders. If it eases your mind at all, you've got your own personal crash test dummy right here. ;D

Video was still way off for me too , I did see some tho! Thanks for sharing Dr. Watch those neighbors man, ya dont wanna get em started now. You dont even have the BBK yet ! I go to one of a few choice spots for my fun. Stoppies are about like wheelies in riding a good one. Its all about finding that sweet balance(not really power). I can ride em on 4Ts and even Razz,s and Spree,s(wheelies that is). Kinda tricky though, i just did it on a dare and to prove a point. Turned out easier then i thought because the front ends are light on all of em. I dont really like doin stoppies on my scoots. It feels funny, and does strain the hell outta the front end. Mostly because 95% of the weight is in the rear of a scooter. One tip i can give that will save your CVT some stress if you do keep the rear up often. When ya get the back wheel in the air, tap the rear brake also to stop the rear wheel from spinning. Saves the CVT from "stop shock" when the back wheel hits the ground . Keep up the Fun Dr.! Brent, i wish i could come ride and play over at your house, lol but mom says its too far away and i wont be back home when the street light s come on ! DANG IT! Try sitting farther back on the seat and pull up right when she hits the pipe or hits peak torque. Make sure ya got a finger or two on the rear brake just in case . Oh and if it does go over, just let it go! Sooo many people try to "ride it out" when the past the point of no return(12-o-clock)...Bad idea! Not that im speaking from experience lol.....
