So there are 5 notches on my pin. Right now I am in the middle #3 notch and am getting a top speed of 38-39mph. If I move it up one notch #2 it seems to accelerate a little faster and it tops out around 40-41mph.
Any recommendations as to keep it where it is or move it up one considering it being more lean and could potentially cause engine damage?

Well, you need to do a plug chop/read after full throttle for about 1 minute with a new plug for best results. Medium to dark tan is the look you want. If the plug looks good and you're happy with the acceleration you should be good to go. Have you gone up on jet size recently?

Adjusting Needle clip position is a powerful mixture adjustment tool.. greatly expanding the range of the jet size used. Always experiment with Needle clip position ...Before... switching jet sizes.
