The starter crapped out on the 250. I found the brushes worn and stuck in the holder. Does any one know where I could find replacements?

I have seen brushes for all size starters...just can't recall where besides my wholesaler in China. But I have seen them online and have replaced 2 sets just to tinker and have spare used starters for folks. Getting the brushes in is a bit tricky. Straighten out a long paper clip and use it to set each brush back so you can get the armature into the motor can. Make sure before you take it apart...that you scribe alignment marks on both the can and mount..otherwise if you put it back together 180 degrees off...being a DC motor...it will run backwards..
