I recently worked on a new Kymco Super8 2T with a cap over the idle/air adjustment screw. Ive heard this can be drilled and removed and the screw will be accessible. I decided its worth a shot. I got my small drill bit (dont recall the size) and started to drill a small hole into the cap in hopes of getting a pic in it to pull it out. It started spinning and ended up coming out on its own. Cool! I thought. Dang! No head on the screw. With a small pair of needle nose pilars it can be removed if careful. I got this one out and cut a small slot in the head with a dremel and small cutoff wheel. Its not perfectly centered buuut, At this point a flathead screwdriver will work. You can instal the screw and adjust to your needs. This was a MUST in our case because we added an expansion chamber exhaust and winter is coming soon. Much better idle, starts, throttle response, etc.

used to do that all the time on cars back in the days of carbed cars
at least on the zuma if you dont have the recall carb you dont have to slot the screw
i like to use a bit that is just big enough to get a dental pic thru the hole to pull out the cap

I just bought another 150cc scooter to flip and it had a capped off mixture screw on the carb. I removed the cap and took pics along the way. Here it is in place before drilling: I used a small drill bit (approx. 3/32 or so) and drilled a hole off to one side: Then I started to drill another hole dead center and the cap started spinning and came out with the drill bit in this particular case but others have required three or four holes and some prying with an ice-pick. Mixture screw exposed

One of those rounded off bolt or nut removers will pull some of the seal caps off also.
Sometimes an old sharpened 1/8 or 3/16" screwdriver will punch and turn the seal.

Following the big debate regarding using ez outs I elected to try the alternative for removing my float bowl screws. Foto shows a slot cut in the bowl and the dummy screw. Used Dremel with cut off wheel for the job. Foto shows screw has moved after being tapped loose with a small punch, a small screw driver finished the job. Foto shows the tools used to do this. Auto center punches, small punch, hammer and Dremel. The auto punches not really necessary but they're nice to have.
