They didn't test that. They did test and conclude that women have more tolerance for pain and so do redheads. Watch out for Irish women I guess.
I ended up with a 2K contra and 8g rollers. It was the rollers that were causing the weird shift (started at 6g). With my other scoots, light rollers usually feel a little different. This only was off right at the shift but before or after seemed OK either way. I gradually got it in tune and I must say I wanted to stay at 7-7.5g rollers but it just isn't practical to cruise. The 8g may even be a bit light. With 7-7.5g it had tons of low end. The first 30MPH was nearly instant. I was testing in my yard doing little wheelies at low speeds and when I gassed it I was surprised just how fast the initial burst was. It would be a blast in town that way, but I have to ride 10 miles each way to get to the town I ride in a lot and it would be no fun screaming all the way there. Anyway, I really like the 2K contra. With the right rollers it will really respond, but yet you can keep the revs where you need them. I never had any luck with heavy contra springs on T2, but I think I just didn't have or didn't try rollers heavy enough for it to do what I needed. If any of you 2T folks feel like tinkering, I'd suggest trying a stiff contra and some heavy rollers sometime. It's so much more responsive when I'm off and on the throttle than even the 1.5K contra... of course I am using a different vari... but I think you'd see some of the same effect. I did this back on my first 70cc, it's just been so long I forgot exactly what it's like. lol
