:panic: Hi can anyone advise me I have a Yamaha Xerox 50cc which had a slight water leak so I put some stop leak solution into the system and it worked sadly too well as the engine boiled over water in exhaust and piston so have stripped all down ready for a new head gasket set checked all hoses radiator thermostat and water pump all good water flushed out of system but cannot find any reason why it boiled over in the first place can any one suggest a reason as I do not want to rebuild it and have the same problem thanks .

:welcome: to the forum.
Sounds like the stop leak didn't work and it leaked into the engine. It will likely be fine once it's all cleaned and sealed. If you have a way to monitor temps, I would suggest paying close attention at first. Stop leak doesn't seem like a great idea to me on such a small cooling system either, with small passages. Never owned an LC scoot though, so maybe it's fine.

If the head gasket leaks compression into the water, it forces the coolant out of the cylinder jacket. then when you slow down or park, it returns and boils.
If it is not cracked or warped it should seal up, I would recommend a new thermostat. Check the Impeller and drive on the water pump. It is not unusual for the compression seal to give out first.
Say no to Stop Leak

stop leak is not a good idea at all unless you want to plug somehting up
i feel the oem rad for the aerox is small and placed so it doesnt allow for good air flow
was the oring for the head shot if not check the seals in the water pump

You may need to " burp " out the air in the cooling hoses . Take a look at the color of th spark plug tip to see if it is lean which will cause it to run hot . Here is a chart to compare your plug with www.4secondsflat.com/plug_chart.htmlWhat sparkplug do you use ? I use a NGKBR8HIX instead of NGKBR7HIX which is a hotter plug which is for a 2T Is that a 2T ? If so oil injector or premix ?
