We got great results with a Technigas Basic exhaust, but this exhaust rust fast and isn't made that well: need to take out the central stand, got pain with the bracket, etc. On those TGB you need to change the carburetor to make it run well if you change the engine or the exhaust as you'll never have it tuned well because the carburetor is really small and it isn't top quality. Dealers also told me about oil pump problems with BBK.
The jog engine (50 or 100cc) is a good way to go. I've seen a lot of swapped scooters ( minarelli to piaggio, etc. ) that's not that hard to do but it's more work than installing a BBK.
The thing is that you'll be able to get more help with Minarelli engine than with your tgb engine as most two stroke 50cc scooters come with minarelli engines.
I've tuned some tgb engines with bbk, performance exhaust, etc. and they are way more "capricious" and are harder to tune properly. You can tune them , but one day later you need to change the setting because the engine is now running too lean or too rich. Minarelli and Piaggio are easier to tune.
