My stock can won't fit w/ the Stage6 street race bbk. I have the Stage6 race replica on order (taking forever to ship from Germany), but for right now, I want to at least tune the variator. Any suggestions? I can't cut and re-weld, I live in an apartment w/ no access to anything like that. The only option I can think of is to use a longer bolt, but the holes don't quite line up. See pic...

"Waller out the holes"(southern term for enlarging),add spacers and longer bolts and go ride!

when i went from my stock pipe to an aftermarket i had to tune the variator to match the pipe...im not 100% sure but i think if you tune the variator to the pipe you have now you will have to re tune it to the new pipe your waiting on....from what i know each pipe has a different rpm range that they preform in and you have to match the variator to that rpm range...IMO i think you should just wait for the pipe your going to run to come in before you tune the variator...

Yeah, CVT tune for stock and tuned pipes will be totally different. If you still wanna tune and ride though, do like 190mech says. I've had to do that plenty of times with all sorts of pipes. If you don't wanna make a spacer, a stack of washers is a little more trouble to deal with but works just fine.

Well, tuning for the stock pipe is a non-issue now, since my pipe came in today!!! I also got my 82-88 jets and stage6 med and hard clutch springs.
USPS and DHL tracking still says waiting for shipment, but it's here already. What a useless tracking system.
Also, I think I'll leave the stock clutch springs that came w/ the Naraku clutch. I couldn't get them out no matter how hard I tried. I'll be using the Naraku BB spring seat, and a Naraku 1000rpm white spring.
I hope this pipe bolts up. Time to go to the basement and install all this.
