hi i posted a previous thread about my oil freezing up....well got it thawed out with my salamander heater is there any way to just drain the oil tank and just premix the oil with the gas? or is that going to be a big issue with the oil pump and all? thanks

I ditched the whole oil tank and pump. I premix at 32:1, 40:1. Make sure to plug the hole in the carb.

How cold did it get? I never knew oil could freeze up that badly... 2t oil doesn't seem that thick to me. Are you sure it's your oil freezing up, and not something else like the gas turning into varnish from sitting around too long?

if you oil froze there is something wrong therebeacust to my knowledge oil doesn't freeze. i would drain it all and replace with new oil. i left oil in my scoot all winterand just opened it up the other day to start pre-season maintenance. and its still oil
