The infrared thermometer would be a bit tricky unless you can ride while trying to aim that at the head and watch the readout. I think my CHT drops too fast once I let off to stop and get an accurate reading.

honestly this is what id do..you said your rich,, so know what your main is step it down a siz e or 2 but leave needle at richest then if its still to rich move the clip from very bottom to one up..repeat if necessary. and as for your oil drain..find the tube from bottom of oil reservoir and un plug it let it drain into oil bottle or etc. the when you put it back on and fill with diff oil remember to bleed oil pump

Thanks ryan, but I already figured everything out... it runs fine so far, with a W7 needle on #2 clip position and a #88 main. I know I have some fine tuning left, but I'll hopefully be able to hammer that out later. For oil, I have nothing to drain it into, so I just mixed synth and whatever was in there before. I'll refill once the tank is almost empty next time.
however, now, the fuel screw doesn't seem to do anything at all between 1~1.75 turns out response from 0 to 1/8th throttle feels the same, and idle doesn't waver from 1200... oh well, it rides fine so I'm not too worried right now.
