I edited this post about why was my scooter not running after i added a stage 6 replica pipe. after i did it ran good then died and would not stay running. i tried everything like up jetting to bigger than a 85 jet. I tried open air filter a stock air filter and one i used uni filters in it. Nothing worked. it would run only if i blocked the carb opening with my had or plugged the snorkel on the stock air filter. I guess the only thing to do was go down so i put a 82 jet and used the stock air filter and guess what it stayed running. I only needed to use one uni filter and it seems to run good and it screams down the road. All i know playing with these scooters can make you look like a retard.

Tuning can be frustrating at times for sure. I try at least a few jets before going to different air filters and such. Easier to stick with one thing at a time for me.

The problem was i had a 85 jet and the stock air cleaner with 4 uni filters in it running the stock pipe? After i put the new exhaust it ran good in warm up then just died and wouldn't run. I started using bigger jets but in reality the problem was the the air box was open to much. when i put the 82 jet and the unopen air filter it ran. I only needed to add one uni filter. I thought when adding a pipe you needed to go richer with a bigger jet but i was wrong. I'm sure i could use an 85. will need to do a plug chop to see.

I would think you have lost a lot of performance with a smaller jet. A lot of times I find I have the exact same problem and for me it's just a simple adjustment of the idle screw.
This crappy weather does not help a bit either. Next time you start it and it starts the dying, just help it through with the throttle and keep it alive til it warms up.
I'm sure your like me and think it's warmed up only to take off and have it stall, lol! I know the feeling well. And I'm guessing it has done this a while and gotten slowly worse, like mine did. If your idle screw adjustment doesn't do the trick then you will have to then adjust the Air/Fuel Mixture screw located down low. Yours might be covered and need to be drilled out. i would get an #88 and just worry about the A/F for now and see how that goes.
Wait til your bike is nice and warm before attempting the A/F adjustment.
If none of those things work, then you might have a sticky float IMO.

Right now i have it setup like this
Polini 70cc S6 pro rep pipe 18mm stock carb clip on 4th notch 85 main jet stock air box with 2 filter plugs. 5g rollers Naraku race clutch with red springs.
Runs pretty good and haven't top it out yet. I'm going to change the contra spring to yellow. Might have to up the rollers to 5.5g but waiting for warmer weather. Too cold to be flying 50+MPH. I feel the scooter could do 60+MPH. I also need the seat to be shaved since 32 inches is a little to high.

if clip in on 4th notch, you may want to up the jet to a 88, and use the 2nd notch.
Did you change the vario? I'm using 5g weights right now w/ the Naraku transmission kit form RP, and I feel like I need to go down in weight since I'll get stuck at ~6700 until I get past 30mph. I have a 1500 spring and the BB tq spring seat as well.

I have to do a plug chop before doing anything. Before i installed the exhaust i had 4.5g rollers. with the pipe installed it seemed to rev a bit and go knowwhere but with the 5g rollers seems better but more testing needs to be done.
