yes the 52mm goes in like the 50mm and has for the valves hitting it, no different then the 50mm need to check all clearance before start up there is a guy on another forum running the 52 scrappy kit with the big valves head and didnt have no issues with valve hitting

You can use some modeling clay on the piston to check clearance. Smear some oil on the piston crown then put a thin piece of clay where they valves should be. Smear some oil on the top of the clay too. Some clay may not need it, but without oil I had trouble with the clay sticking. Install the head and cam and turn the engine over by hand. Remove the head. First you can see if the valve went all the way through the clay. If so, you definitely need to create more clearance. If not, use a razor to cut the clay in half, going across the center of the valves. Remove one side and be careful not to squish it. You can then see how much room you have between the piston and valve when you look at the cross section.

I don't think gains would be really big from 50-52mm. Depends how each is setup. Some have pistons that are dished, some flat, some domed. That all changed compression. If keeping the same head for the larger bore, you may get more power from increased compression.

I have the scrappy 52mm kit and run it with a 50mm big valve head, it has a domed piston though i used two base gaskets no issues. The 52mm kit is way faster than the cheap 50mm ebay kits. Scrappys kit fits right in no case modification.

i know the hoca piston kit does not work on an ebay 50mm kit, my friend just tried it and it was too tight, my scrappy 52mm is domed and its a good kit im very happy with it.
