Have you tested the variator's belt travel? I'm wondering if your 3.5g weights are sufficient to fully close the front pulley. I have 5g right now, and it's definitely too heavy, so I'm going to install 4g weights this weekend. I have 1500 tq spring, and have 2000 spring as well.
How is your acceleration and hill climbing ability? Also, 50+ mph as shown by the stock tach, or gps? Stock cable driven tachs tend to be optimistic from what I've heard.

it looks like the belt looks like it is traveling to about a 1/4 inch from the edge, the speedometer says 55 but i know it is 2 mph off checked it with gps when i first got the scooter the acceleration is really good and climbing hills is decent, definitely better than before the bbk if i moving i can usually go right over them at around 40mph leaving my drive way there is a small hill i used to get to the top and would be doing 29 now i am at 35 really a lot of torque off the line at 53 i am at almost 9000rpm on the tach, i was running 4 gram weights, the 3.5 seem to give me a little better acceleration and take off and doesn't seem to effect the top end.
