Yes lots to do!
Did a qmb teardown and took the cranks to NAPA today for the oil pump gear swap. Just a straight forward stock crank and 50mm top end to put up on CL!
How bout you?

You use the oil pumps that come with the big bore kits or just cause of the new crank? I had a seller tell me they were just stock replacements, no need to bother.

I haven't done much with scoots lately. Got my 103 running again, didn't even tune it yet. Went to work on the Mustang. Pulling it's engine and trans soon. Wish it were a few bolts, a few connectors, and a 40 pound assembly like the scoots. lol

The oil pump that came with the china 50mm bbk i intend to use does not fit this motor so i will be using the original, it passed the inspection procedure outlined in Haynes #4768. To do that however the drive gear must be swapped.

LOL yeah I dont take a scoot motor out without my lift, sure wouldnt tackle a car...but ive been there done that! Taken many a vw motor out with cindar blocks and a floor jack lol
