I install the Power camshaft from SCRAPPYDOGSCOOTERS for my 72cc kit on my Kymco. The sound of the motor look louder but the performance look better...
I put the valves clearance at 0.003" and i put a jet #90, with #88 the sparkplug look lean.
Is it possible i have more top speed with the power camshaft?
And the sound of the motor look louder, is it normal!??
Thank's!

yeah the came could give you more speed and imo cause the scooter to be louder maybe cause the valve for the exhaust is open longer or more or quicker to the firing of the engine

If you mean the ticking is louder from the valves, that's not uncommon with more aggressive ramp profiles.

Yes, you can get a louder clacking sound from the valves, and yes a little more top end speed. I gained 4mph with an A9 cam, too loud for me...2mph with an A8 cam, still louder but not as much.

Today it was nice to ride, so i try my scooter with the new power camshaft. I take a Country road and make a top speed test and i hit 47 Mph(76 km\h). Before it was 43 mph. Before the test i change the jet for #95, #90 was lean again, but i think #92 is better!?
But when i hit 47 Mph, i felt the scooter was retained and he could go faster!?
This is my setup:
72cc CDI original (modified) Original carb, jet #95 Original Air filter Valve 0.003mm Variator Polini Polini belt Rollers 7g Big cluch spring Yellow(1500rpm) Original exhaust
Somebody have a idea?
Thank's!

Are you getting full travel on the variator. Yes, but i see the belt touch the bendix of the starter, The belt rubs on the bendix when the belt is at the top of the variator. There is a line of wear on the top of the belt! The bendix of my engine is just above the variator...It is maybe what what holds(retains) the scooter? See picture, you see the bendix above the variator.
